Live Nation’s
ONES TO WATCH
returns to Brisbane for
another unmissable edition at
BIGSOUND
featuring BORDERLINE (NZ),
CHARLI LUCAS, and LYRIC
.
.
Returning to its spiritual Fortitude Valley home of The Outpost on Thursday 4 September, Live Nation’s ONES TO WATCH series is set to spotlight a curated line up of names sure to remain on punters’ radars, long after their sets wind down.
Throughout 2025, the ONES TO WATCH music discovery series has delivered successful events right around Australia, bringing packed out events to venues in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Byron Bay. Providing a stage for Australian and international artists alike to captivate an audience of fans and influential industry players, in a unique and intimate setting, Live Nation’s ONES TO WATCH has become a globally renowned and respected pathway for artist exposure and support.
It is why their presence at BIGSOUND has always brought with it an additional level of excitement – posting up at the country’s biggest live music industry event, ONES TO WATCH is leaning into the energy of unearthing and championing the best talent from Australia (and this year, Aotearoa) to great effect.
Hailing from Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), Aotearoa, indie four-piece BORDERLINE are set to extend their reach beyond the pond – a reach that has already been gaining considerable traction throughout 2025. Appearing at the BIGSOUND edition of ONES TO WATCH, the rising group became the first NZ act to sign with US-based music powerhouse EMPIRE (Shaboozey, Anderson .Paak), further fuelling momentum surrounding sound and its wide appeal. The release of their latest EP Chrysalis has Borderline on the road and looking ahead to a busy second half of the year, though their return to Australia for BIGSOUND and ONES TO WATCH marks a significant stride forward for the young group.
Sydney pop artist CHARLI LUCAS brings her dynamic blend of “dewdrop pop” and effortless charisma to ONES TO WATCH. Tracks like ‘Really Good Song’ and ‘Bless The Internet’ have firmly established Charli’s place within Australian pop’s new wave. Perfect for fans of artists including Benee, Lorde and Mallrat, Charli Lucas’ catalogue has been winning fans around the country, while also courting industry acclaim for her intricate and open brand of storytelling.
Completing the Brisbane line up for ONES TO WATCH, is 21 year old Gold Coast singer-songwriter, LYRIC. Enchanting audiences since her debut in 2024 with the viral TikTok hit ‘Gravity’, LYRIC has continued to evolve her natural talents as a vocalist and songwriter, bringing fans more cuts of music that traverse themes of love, navigating young adulthood and more. In July, the rising star embarked on her debut UK tour, and in its wake returned with a hotly anticipated new track and love letter to her fans, ‘Homesick’, lifted from her forthcoming EP ‘The Art of Falling First’.
“Being right in the heart of all of the action, our BIGSOUND Ones to Watch showcase always brings with it an incredible sense of excitement. We’re thrilled to be bringing OTW back this year with a stellar lineup of emerging talent, and look forward to welcoming Borderline, Charli Lucas, and Lyric to the Ones to Watch stage at The Fortitude Music Hall next month.” Live Nation Australia
Returning to host Brisbane’s ONES TO WATCH event is award winning podcast producer and dynamic industry tastemaker, Tait McGregor. A longtime champion of Australian music and innovative artists, Tait’s face is one familiar to the ONES TO WATCH stage, having hosted numerous editions of the event since its Australian debut. She has worked with brands including Rolling Stone AU, TikTok, ARIA, Warner Music Australia, Sony Music Australia, Universal Music Australia, Spotify and more.

AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
