LA’s beloved indie-rockers Local Natives sublime new EP, Sour Lemon is out now via Loma Vista Recordings.
Sour Lemon contains the previously released singles, ‘Statues In The Garden (Arras)’ and the stirring, acoustic-driven number ‘Lemon’, which features the exquisite co-vocals of praised singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten. Sitting alongside the two singles is the sobering track, ‘Lost’ and the honeyed ‘Future Lover’.
To celebrate the EP release, Local Natives performed a stunning take of ‘Statues In The Garden (Arras)’ live on Ellen. View the performance below.

Written in between tours, the four tracks contained on Sour Lemon were composed without a specific deadline in mind. With that, the band found liberation in writing music they had not experienced in some time.
Recorded at Sunset Sound with producer Chris Coady (Beach House, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Future Islands, !!!) in late 2019, Sour Lemon arrives almost two years after the release of their Pitchfork-praised release Violet Street, an exquisite record that epitomised the indie-rock quintet’s dreamy indie-rock sound, set against a sublime LA backdrop.
Sour Lemon is available now via Loma Vista Recordings, with a 10″ vinyl available on Friday 13 November. Vinyl pre-orders are available here.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
