Brisbane/Meeanjin based artist Love, Marco drops emotive new single ‘Shelter’ today.
The highly emotional single was written after Love, Marco lost someone he knew to suicide and the record speaks about mental health and the subsequent effects of being trapped in your own mind. The record really embodies what it feels like to have conversations with yourself and with your own thoughts.
On ‘Shelter’ Love, Marco reflects “This record was inspired by somebody who I knew a few years ago who passed away from suicide. The heart and soul of the song is about finding shelter from your own thoughts and looking for any way out of your own mind that you can possibly find. This one is super special to me and will always be one of my personal favourites xx”
Love, Marco produced ‘Shelter’ with Nova Blue (Tate Mcrae, MNEK, Raye) and wrote it with Tom Eggert (Busby Marou, Benji Lewis).
‘Shelter’ is accompanied by the cinematic and moving music video that also drops today. The video was directed by Aidan Rice and filmed in Love, Marco’s hometown of Brisbane/Meeanjin.
On the video, Love, Marco says “This music video was a blast to make. We wanted to keep it to as few shots as possible to really try and draw the emotion you feel through the performance shots in each take. Aidan is a master at cinematography and especially when it comes to achieving that emotion we wanted to portray. I couldn’t have asked for a better director, videographer and friend to work with.”
‘Shelter’ is available everywhere now!

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
