Today Luke Hemmings shares the music video for his debut solo single ‘Starting Line’. WATCH HERE.
Directed by Australian director Scottie Cameron, the video stems from the idea of trying to be more present, to be more “in the moment” and to try not to let things rush on by; especially the good things in life. It opens on Luke walking, then running, then jumping his way through a desolate downtown street.
Released last week, ‘Starting Line’ was instantly heralded as “a shimmering power ballad” by Billboard. Produced by Sammy Witte, the single has already amassed nearly 3 million streams worldwide and has been featured on top playlists including Spotify’s New Music Friday, Pop Rising and Pop Rock as well as Apple Music’s New Music Daily, Amped Up, Global Pop, Breaking Pop and more. LISTEN HERE.
Luke is best known as the lead singer of the multi-platinum phenomenon 5 Seconds Of Summer and has co-written some of the band’s biggest hits including ‘Youngblood‘, ‘Teeth‘, ‘Want You Back‘ and ‘Lie To Me’. With a relentless focus on his craft, Luke Hemmings aims to consistently raise the bar for himself as a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. The greatest challenges arise from within and for the first time, the multi-hyphenate channels this dedication, passion, and energy into his solo debut, When Facing the Things We Turn Away From, which will be released on August 13. Stay tuned.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
