LA based, French songwriter and producer Madeon today releases his energetic new single ‘The Prince’. This is the first piece of new material since his album Good Faith and most recent remix of ‘No Fear No More’ featuring Grammy nominated hip-hop duo EARTHGANG.
‘The Prince’, written, produced, mixed and mastered, by Madeon himself and is the sole vocalist. It was originally teased during his live stream DJ set for Secret Sky which led to fans flooding Madeon’s social media commenting imploring for the tracks release.
Madeon shares: “The Prince” is the first song I completed for my album “Good Faith” but it didn’t make the final tracklist, I thought it was thematically too dark. Years later, a few months ago, I performed a live-streamed set for my friend Porter Robinson’s online festival ‘Secret Sky’.”
“I remembered “The Prince” and spontaneously decided to play it out for the first time during that show. That moment is now a truly cherished memory of mine! I never intended to release it, but the enthusiasm from fans convinced me, so here it is! It’s a bit of a darker prologue to Good Faith, hope you have fun with it.”

Madeon began the Good Faith Era just over a year ago with an effort to show fans and the world a body of work that showcased his artistic progression with an album that was also all written, produced, mixed and mastered, by Madeon.
The 10-track LP Good Faith includes singles ‘Be Fine,’ praised for its “big, sweeping melodies” by Billboard, ‘Dream Dream Dream,’ which was named as “Best New Music This Week” by Complex and ‘All My Friends,’ which reached No. 1 at Dance Radio. It follows his debut album Adventure and his massive collaborative project with Porter Robinson, ‘Shelter.’
Only a couple of weeks ago, Madeon released a music video for Good Faith track ‘Miracle’ – watch here. Directed by Lena Headey and starring Maisie Williams – both Game Of Thronesalums. The clip depicts Williams getting into a surreal, violent collision with another person and dealing with its aftermath.
Madeon also collaborated with Lady Gaga on the track ‘911‘ for her latest album Chromatica, following his work on Artpop in 2013.
Adventure was released in 2015 to critical praise from press including Pitchfork, who noted that “on the path to what feels like something huge, Madeon’s journey is just beginning” and The Fader, who described it as “expansive, impossibly beautiful…one of the most radiant pop albums in recent memory.” Adventure was also featured on various “Best of 2015” lists including Complex, who pronounced it “an audio journey that can best be described as rapturous.”
