Indie pop-punk songstress Maggie Slater is releasing her soaring new single “Itchy Feet” on June 25 and is itching to break free from Melbourne to kick off the Winter East Coast Tour with her band, starting off in her old stomping grounds of North Queensland taking in Townsville, Cairns, Brisbane, Gold Coast & Melbourne through July (covid restrictions permitting!).
The track is lifted from Maggie’s forthcoming ‘Live at DREADSOUND Studios’ EP which is due out on July 9, which also features the previously released single “I Feel Bad” (May 29).
“Itchy Feet” is a song about the weight of returning home to the mundane after an incredible time travelling, wishing you could hop right back on the plane. The song narrates the process of trying to navigate the new person you feel like you’ve become, while stuck in an old and tired setting.
“Crash landed, Step off the plane
To the weight of the air and the world on my shoulders”

Tickets & info
Witnessing Maggie Slater in concert will remind you of what it felt like to yearn for that something (or someone) when you were living the best years of your life, all while reigniting your teenage angst. Maggie’s dreamy vocals paired with her band’s dynamic mixture of driving guitar licks and impressive drumming make for their own melting pot of bedroom pop-punk.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
