“Australia’s most exciting new pop singer.” – Billboard Magazine
“If you were emo in high school but only listen to pop now, this will be your jam.” – Fader
“Mallrat takes seemingly mundane topics like getting groceries (‘Groceries’) or not wanting to go to the party (‘Uninvited’) and breaths life into them until they become fascinating, beautiful beings of their own. Couple that with her sometimes DIY, sometimes skyscraping production and you’ve got one special artist.” – NME

Fresh from her hit single ‘Groceries’ coming in at #7 on the triple j Hottest 100and being certified Gold by ARIA, Australia’s future of pop music Mallrat today releases the effervescent new single, ‘Nobody’s Home’ featuring production from boundary-pushing producer Basenji.
The single’s release follows hot on the heels of the announcement last week that Mallrat would be taking Basenji on the road across Australia as the main support for her biggest Australian tour yet, alongside rising stars in their own right, Kota Banks and NYNE.
‘Nobody’s Home’ is everything you love and would hope for from a Mallrat song – brilliant dissections of life conveyed in simple lyrics, impossibly addictive melodies, and her signature, laconic delivery that somehow sounds like a lullaby and yet you know slaps in a stadium.
It’s also undeniable evidence that there’s no other artist in this country that is consistently delivering brilliant pop gems that brim with shimmering melodies and enchanting harmonies at the same rate as Mallrat. It’s this innate and fantastically unique ability that saw the Brisbane-born artist spend most of 2018 conquering the globe off the back of the release of her stellar EP, In The Sky, and only points toward even more success destined for the rest of 2019.

The single’s release is complemented by a hypnotic new video directed by Ariel Fisher, shot in LA and showcasing Mallrat’s own eccentric style and bewitching personality, interspersed with beautifully creative shots and gracefully experimental choreography.
The ‘Nobody’s Home’ tour will see Mallrat headline the biggest stages of her career playing Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide and Perth, and has already sold out dates in Sydney. Brisbane and Melbourne with new shows added for all three. Tickets are on sale now – and are sure to sell out soon so get in quick.

These shows follow hot on the heels of Mallrat’s return from Europe, where she’s once again set to support her friend Maggie Rogers for her upcoming European tour, having also travelled across the US with Maggie last year. Theirs’ is a friendship and on-stage love affair that blossomed way back on Rogers’ first tour of Australia in 2017 when she first took Mallrat and her inimitable DJ Denim on the road with her, and has only gone from strength to strength as they’ve sailed around the world together, both defining the sound of the modern, indie pop era.
Mallrat’s 2018 starred two monster singles – ‘UFO’ Feat. Allday (#70 in the 2018 Hottest 100) and the aforementioned ‘Groceries;’ saw her single ‘Better’ land at #46 in the Hottest 100; mount two sold out national Australian tours; perform at SXSW; and dominate the stages at Groovin’ The Moo, Splendour In The Grass andFalls Festival to name just a few. She was also named in Billboard, Fader and Noisey’s ‘Best Songs of 2018’ lists, and was recently declared by NME as one of their ‘100 Artists To Watch in 2019.’
With this new single, these tour shows and more music releases planned for the rest of 2019, it looks certain Mallrat’s making this year even bigger.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
