ARIA chart-topping soul powerhouse Meg Mac returns with new single “The Tune I’ll Be Singing Until I’m Dead”, a wistful earworm that marks the second glimpse of her forthcoming fourth studio album. The track follows the glorious new direction revealed with recent single “He Said No” which has garnered 250K combined streams in less than a month.

Born from childhood memories and maternal influence, “The Tune I’ll Be Singing Until I’m Dead” showcases Meg’s signature ability to wrap profound emotional weight in irresistible melody. Produced once again with Bullion (Carly Rae Jepsen, Ben Howard), the track serves as both cautionary tale and deeply personal reflection.

“I loved writing this song because it reminded me of the Irish songs my Mum used to sing to us when we were kids,” Meg explains. “It’s my cautionary tale of bitterness and how it will poison every part of your life. It’s like I saw into my future, and it was bitter and lonely.”

Despite its wit-laden lyrics exploring themes of bitterness and its corrosive effects, the song remains undeniably catchy – a testament to Meg’s gift for balancing darkness with accessibility. “It’s a song about bitterness and how it can poison your life,” she reflects.

The release comes on the heels of Meg’s triumphant sold-out pop-up theatre residency at Sydney’s iconic Belvoir Street Theatre and recently completed sold-out tour dates across the UK and Ireland. These intimate performances, created in collaboration with award-winning director and lighting designer Alexander Berlage, showcased material from her forthcoming album in a theatrical setting that offered fans her most personal performances yet.
