Miami Horror recently announced supports for their upcoming ‘Luv Is Not Enough’ Australian tour, kicking off in Melbourne on December 6. For their first Australian tour dates in over two years, the now six-piece powerhouse collective hit Melbourne, San Remo, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
While playing to packed out crowds on their 17-date US tour Miami Horror announced they’ll be joined by Sydney producer MUTO for Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane dates, as well as Northeast Party House DJs and Kesmar in Sydney.
‘Luv Is Not Enough’ arrived alongside news of Miami Horror’s forthcoming third album for 2020. Since its release, the track has received strong support from home and abroad from the likes of Acid Stag, Fashion Journal, Forbes, CLASH, EARMILK and adds to Spotify’s New Music Friday and Indie Arrivals and Apple’s New Music Daily in Australia.
Featuring the alluring vocals of Clear Motiffee, ‘Luv Is Not Enough’ conjures a romantic tone of empowerment and self confidence. In true Miami Horror style, the bass-line heavy groove keeps listeners moving through the track, feeling the message as the song builds. Producer Benjamin Plant cites soulful funk artists like The Internet, Kaytranada, and Anderson .Paak as recent inspiration, even mentioning that Calvin Harris‘ 2017 single “Slide” caused a big shift in perspective.
Plant says about writing ‘Luv Is Not Enough’, “We hadn’t really been into much new music. Everything was feeling dull and minimal. Then when I heard “Slide,” it was a seemingly revelatory moment. It was refreshing to hear a song that was based around the simplicity of a good bass line and chords. It made me realize that maybe we’d been overthinking things, as those had always been two of our favorite and highest prioritized elements when we started out.”
What began as a solo project by Plant, Miami Horror quickly grew into a four-piece live band. The new six-piece iteration see the group as a living, breathing organism, ever-changing in their diverse musical influences. Filling dance- floors and festival stages both at home and across the globe with their distinctive brand of electronica, Miami Horror will share their new live line up additions, Reva Devito (self), Nic Mulhall (Queen Magic) and TC Milan.
With Benjamin Plant living between LA and hometown of Melbourne, the project has grown from this dichotomy, continuing to evolve and transform. With latest offering ‘Luv Is Not Enough’, listeners are allowed yet another a glimpse into the new era of Miami Horror, one oozing with unexpected collaborations and fresh sounds, soon to be shared with Australian audiences.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
