After releasing a steady stream of lauded singles including global radio hits ‘Colorado’ and ‘Synchronize’, today Milky Chance (Clemens Rebhein and Phillipp Dausch) have finally dropped their highly anticipated fourth studio album Living In A Haze, out via the duo’s own label Muggelig Records.
.
.
An album that truly sounds classic upon first listen, Living In A Haze is tightly packed with 12 mini-masterpieces that all can stand on their own. From the dance floor blazing smash title track to the smoky and subtle ‘Golden’, to the jittery and introspective ‘Purple Tiger’, one thing is clear – Milky Chance has mastered their domain. Their immediately recognisable, trademark sound is all their own and enables them to still ooze a ‘coolness’ that most bands of their stature aren’t able to maintain. Maybe the fact that they boldly decided to go independent after an illustrious decade-long career helps provide the trailblazing spark that makes them one of the most unique bands on the planet.
Milky Chance explains a bit about the album development, ‘We stepped out of our comfort zone to make this album. It was freeing and felt like a new chapter for us. We gave ourselves the space and energy to really dive deep into writing and producing, tried out new things, worked with incredible collaborators like Charlotte Cardin and Fatoumata Diawara, and created, what we think, is a colourful and diverse album.’
.
Milky Chance – the unassuming German duo of childhood friends Clemens Rehbein and Phillipp Dausch – have quietly become one of the biggest bands in the world. While many know them for their ubiquitous global smash hit ‘Stolen Dance’, over the past decade the band has crafted an incredibly unique catalog of idiosyncratic and inventive pop songs. They proudly boast over 14 million monthly Spotify listeners, an enviable touring resume (including festivals like Coachella, Reading&Leeds, and Lollapalooza) an upcoming schedule of 2023 dates that represent their biggest headline shows of their career, and a global audience stretching from the US and Mexico to the EU, Australia, and beyond. Over the course of their 10+ years as a band, they’ve proven themselves to be an elusive entity: the rare organism that has evolved to survive and thrive in an increasingly precarious music industry.

About CHARLOTTE CARDIN
Canadian singer Charlotte Cardin arrived with a bang in 2017, releasing two breakthrough EP’s (Big Boy and Main Girl) and earning opening slots for Nick Murphy and BØRNS. But that was only a taste of what was to come, as her 2021 full length debut Phoenix caught fire, amassing almost 300 million global streams. It spent multiple weeks atop the Billboard Canadian Albums Chart and earned six JUNO nominations. In the fall of 2021, Cardin headlined the return of Osheaga in her hometown of Montreal. She then went on to sell-out her first headlining Canadian tour, selling over 47,000 tickets coast to coast, including sell outs at legendary venues The Roxy in Los Angeles and New York’s Music Hall of Williamsburg.
About FATOUMATA DIAWARA
Hailed as one of the most vital standard-bearers of modern African music, Fatoumata Diawara takes her trailblazing artistry to fresh and thrilling heights on her new album FENFO. Boldly experimental yet respectful of her roots, it’s a record that defines her as the voice of young African womanhood. Her spectacular 2011 debut album Fatou helped the Malian singer/guitarist to become the most talked about up-and-coming African artist on the planet, providing her the opportunity to work with some of the biggest names in contemporary music including, Paul McCartney, Bobby Womack, Herbie Hancock, Damon Albarn, and Cuban pianist Roberto Fonseca. She continues to also make waves in her parallel career as an actor, including an acclaimed appearance in 2014’s Timbuktu (Le chagrin des oiseaux), which received both BAFTA and Academy Award nominations.

AMNPLIFY – ML
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
