Following a landmark year of sold-out shows, festival appearances, and over 500k collective streams, Melbourne’s dynamic duo Mister Co. is kicking off 2025 with a bang. Their latest single, Can’t Stop The Funk, a high-energy collaboration with Melbourne artists Jonathan Bufalino and horns trio Free Parking, was released on Friday 21st March 2025, marking the first taste of their upcoming Homegrown EP.
A pulsating fusion of funk, soul, and infectious grooves, Can’t Stop The Funk showcases Mister Co.’s signature ability to blur genre lines while keeping the dance floor moving. Can’t Stop The Funk is just the beginning. The single paves the way for Homegrown, a five-track EP that celebrates Melbourne’s rich and diverse music scene. Featuring collaborations with some of the city’s most exciting emerging artists, the project highlights the vibrant musician communities that shape Melbourne’s live music culture.
To bring Homegrown to life, Mister Co. is hosting Homegrown at Howler, a one-of-its-kind mini-festival at Melbourne’s iconic The Corner on Saturday, August 30, 2025. With live sets from all the EP’s collaborators, a vinyl DJ spinning classics, and an atmosphere that captures the city’s creative heartbeat, this event is set to be a standout moment of the year.
After a groundbreaking 2024, including a sold-out debut album launch at The Night Cat and a successful East Coast tour, Mister Co. is keeping the momentum going in 2025. Their electrifying live show will take centre stage at major festivals and events, including a co-headline slot at Geelong’s Festival of Sails in January, a performance at Moonee Valley Twilight Festival supporting Sneaky Sound System, and an appearance at Craigieburn City Council Festival.
With a fresh vision, boundary-pushing collaborations, and an unstoppable commitment to building community through music, Mister Co. is proving that their journey is just getting started.
