Today, multi-platinum rock superstars, Good Charlotte, officially announce their upcoming album Motel Du Cap out Friday 8 August via Atlantic Records. Pre-order HERE. The upcoming album marks a bold return to their roots while forging new ground as the band readies to deliver their most personal record to date. Motel Du Cap is Good Charlotte’s eighth studio album and comes seven years after their previous release, Generation Rx.
The initial spark for Motel Du Cap was ignited when Good Charlotte played a private gig at the iconic Hotel du Cap in France, for a friend’s wedding in 2023. The surreal beauty of the venue, raw emotion of the occasion, and freedom of performing without expectations lit a fire under the Madden brothers. “It was this wild, once-in-a-lifetime vibe,” Joel recalls. “We were just there to celebrate, no pressure, and it reminded us why we started this—pure, unfiltered connection.” That night became the heartbeat of the album, a love letter to stripping things back and letting the music speak for itself.
The lead single “Rejects” is out now. Listen HERE. it’s a gritty, defiant anthem for the outsiders, delivered with the raw honesty that’s defined Good Charlotte since day one. Produced by Jordan Fish & Zakk Cervini, both of whom co-wrote the single alongside Benji and Joel Madden. The band has also released an official music video — watch HERE. Directed by Erik Rojas and Lenna Onto, the music video blends a live action Good Charlotte performance with the world of the Claymates™️ animation story. The clay story follows the central character as he goes from boyhood to his mundane adulthood in a parallel experience as Good Charlotte before ending with an interwoven performance.
Today, Good Charlotte will be making the live debut of “Rejects” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! They show no signs of slowing down as it was recently announced GC will be performing on Good Morning America Sumer Concert Series August 8th followed by a performance at LIV Golf Chicago August 9th. Last month, they took the stage at Welcome to Rockville marking their first show back in nearly 2 years. The Rockville setlist kicked off with “The Anthem” and was filled with fan favorites including a surprise cover of “Teenage Dirtbag” featuring special guest Wheatus singer Brendan Brown, before closing with “Lifestyles Of The Rich & Famous.”

About GOOD CHARLOTTE
Good Charlotte is back, and they’re bringing their rawest, most authentic energy yet with their upcoming album, Motel Du Cap, set to drop in 2025. The rock superstars—twin brothers Joel Madden (vocals) and Benji Madden (guitar, vocals), alongside Paul Thomas (bass), Billy Martin (guitar, keyboards)—have spent nearly three decades crafting anthems for the underdogs, the dreamers, and the broken. Now, they’re channeling a serendipitous moment into their most genuine and honest work since their early days. The spark for Motel Du Cap ignited when the band played a private gig at the iconic Hotel du Cap in France for a friend’s wedding in 2023. The surreal beauty of the venue, the raw emotion of the occasion, and the freedom of performing without expectations lit a fire under the Madden brothers. Motel Du Cap marks a return to the band’s roots while pushing their sound into uncharted territory. Inspired by the gritty sincerity of their self-titled debut and the emotional punch of The Young and the Hopeless, the album blends jagged riffs, introspective lyrics, and a defiant spirit. The first single, “Rejects,” is a snarling, fist-in-the-air anthem that sets the tone—celebrating the misfits who refuse to fit the mold, delivered with the kind of honesty that’s been Good Charlotte’s calling card since 1996.
From their humble beginnings in Waldorf, Maryland, to selling over 11 million albums worldwide with hits like “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” and “The Anthem,” Good Charlotte has always worn their hearts on their sleeves. After exploring everything from dance-punk (Good Morning Revival) to dark introspection (Generation Rx), they’re now doubling down on what they do best: making music that’s real, relatable, and relentlessly hopeful. Motel Du Cap isn’t just an album— it’s a testament to a band that’s never stopped evolving, never stopped fighting, and never stopped believing in the power of a good song to change everything. Get ready for the ride.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
