Music Victoria today announces the 10 music industry coaches for Live Music Professionals 2019. Over the coming months the industry professionals will spend time coaching the Live Music Professionals program participants, offering an insight into areas such as marketing, legal, publicity and bookkeeping, delivered through one-on-one sessions as well as masterclasses and workshops.
SARAH DEBORRE, Live Music Professionals Project Manager, comments on the selection of coaches for 2019 “Each year we have exceptional coaches giving up their time to be involved in Live Music Professionals and this year is no different! I’m really excited that we’ve engaged such a diverse spectrum from the industry. These coaches, along with the workshop hosts and speakers who have attended and presented at the Live Music Professionals conferences held throughout the program, are having such a positive impact on our participants!”

The 2019 coaches are:
AMANDA VITARTAS
Founder of Future Popes, which began with a backbone in publicity, representing artists and labels from Burger Records, Flying Nun, Poison City Records, The Ocean Party, Cascine Records, MOD CON and The Gooch Palms. Amanda has booked venues such as the Tote and The Workers Club and is currently the exclusive venue booker of The Grace Darling, while also co-managing the artist careers of Moaning Lisa, Cry Club and Candy.
ANDREW FULLER
Commercial lawyer and director of Clearview Legal Counsel. Andrew has experience in nearly all aspects of commercial and general law and advises start-ups and businesses looking to create, protect and commercialise their intellectual property rights.
BELLA KRANJEC
Online Marketing & Social Media Coordinator for Melbourne’s Corner Group. Bella coordinates the digital marketing networks for live music venues Corner Hotel, Northcote Social Club and Richmond pub, The National Hotel.
CARA WILLIAMS
Founder and director of Slow Clap – a promo, marketing and content management company specialising in music, arts and events. Cara previously worked for Mushroom Group, Beat Magazine, Fairfax and Gasworks Arts Park, and has a wealth of experience as a creative and campaign manager, content producer, editor, marketer and publicist.
JACKIE ANTAS
General Manager, Communications for Ticketmaster / Live Nation Australia and New Zealand. Jackie is an esteemed PR and Communications professional with 20 years experience in the UK, Europe and Australia specialising in entertainment, technology and consumer brands. Jackie recently returned home to Melbourne, Australia after spending 13 years living and working in the UK with seven of those years spent at Live Nation Entertainment in London.

RENÉE HERMSEN
Promoter at Live Nation. As a promoter for Live Nation since 2017 Renée has toured the likes of Hermitude and IDLES to Broods and Amy Shark, Renée also co-books Festival X and Rhythm & Vines (New Zealand). Renee was previously at MOJO working in the field she loves most: electronic music. First as a booking assistant, then shortly after as project coordinator for some of Holland’s most beloved festivals such as Lowlands, We Are Electric, Down The Rabbit Hole and Pitch.
SHAUN ADAMS
Venue Program Manager at Hotel Esplanade. Shaun has had the pleasure of working with Australian artists such as Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Powderfinger, Silverchair and Peking Duk when promoting his own shows and events across regional Victoria, as well as programming for St Kilda’s Prince Bandroom and the Karova Lounge in Ballarat. Since taking on the role as Venue Programmer for The Espy, the hallowed Gershwin Room has welcomed an array of artists such as Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Babe Rainbow, Cosmic Psychos, Daryl Braithwaite, Lime Cordiale and The Teskey Brothers.
THOMAS SUPPLE
Senior Music Curator for Dark Mofo. Thomas is an artist and curator working in the field of Contemporary Music, Installation and Sound who forged a unique career and creative partnership under the moniker Supple Fox. Thomas has worked as a curator for Mona Foma, Melbourne International Arts Festival, Victorian College of the Arts and Melbourne International Jazz Festival. His current and ongoing curatorial engagement continues to be in the role of Dark Mofo’s Senior Music Curator, a position he has held since the festival’s inception in 2013. Across seven festivals he has presented a slew of International and Australian artists, including World premiere performances from Nicolas Jaar (Against All Logic) and Antony & The Johnsons. Along with key Australian premiere performances from FKA Twigs, Jonsi & Alex, Einstürzende Neubauten, St Vincent and Tanya Tagaq.
TOM HARRIS
Managing Director at White Sky. Tom heads up the largest music accounting services business in Australia; handling the finances for over 500 bands, record labels, festivals and various music businesses.
TRISTIAN CEDDIA
Creative Director at Never Now. Tristan is an artistic director and graphic designer. His studio Never Now, creates visual material for clients working within food, art, fashion, film and music industries. His work offers a nuanced approach to design, often utilising the practicality of everyday messaging.
