On MMAD Day, Friday October 20, the charity is encouraging everyone to dedicate a song to someone using the hashtag #ThisSongIsForYou. This could be a friend, family member, colleague, or a general shout out to anyone going through a difficult time.
“Music has the power to heal, inspire, and connect us all” said Dominic Brook, MMAD co-founder. “On MMAD Day, we’re inviting everyone to use the power of music to make a difference in the life of someone they care about.”
For their MMAD DAY dedications Australian artists are dedicating their songs to young people going through a difficult time and encouraging them to reach out to MMAD for support.

ARTIST QUOTES
Ziggy Ramo
“To young Australians, don’t suffer in silence. It’s so natural to feel like you don’t want to burden people, or that people won’t understand, but everyone is going through something. It’s always so much easier when you are vocal and ask for help because people are amazing and passionate and caring. If you ask for help the right person will reveal themselves and definitely support you through whatever you’re going through.”
.
.
Eso (Bliss n Eso)
“If you feel like you’re going through something and you’re all alone, trust me you’re not. A Bliss n Eso track called, ‘Devil On My Shoulder’ helped me get all of what was inside of me out and now it’s free in the world. Music makes a difference.”

Avneesha
“I’m dedicating my song, ‘Just Like That’ for Musicians Making a Difference Day! This song was a heavy one to write and a friendly reminder to tell the people you care about how much you love them! Check in on your friends and family, ask them how they are, because you never know what someone may be going through.”
.
.
Darren Middleton
“Let Go is a reflection on feeling lost, losing identity and purpose and finding out that it was tied to my past. It talks about how difficult it can be to let go of your past and just appreciate what you have right now, in front of you. Simply putting those things into song, helped me find my way through.”
.
.
Conrad Sewell
“I am dedicating my song ‘Precious’. It’s about the ups and downs in life and the journey we’re all on how precious it is. Things will try to bring you down and sometimes you’ll even self sabotage. But you’ve got to pull yourself out of it because life is precious and if you don’t give up you’ll get to where you wanna be.”
.
.
Franjapan
“We wanted to dedicate, ‘Teal’ by Wunderhhorse, because it was a song that really brought us together and made us reflect on the importance of the people that matter in your life. It served as a gentle reminder of how mistakes happen and you can regret them, but it’s important to realise what is in front of you; “a beautiful world, and a beautiful mind”.
.
Mung Mung
“You know growing up I was bombarded with so many things like self-doubt, self-esteem issues, self-confidence. I wanna dedicate this song to you – Mockingbird by Eminem. The words really spoke to me and acted as a form of comfort and inspired me to pick up my own pen and write.”

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
