“The music video for ‘Dancing’ is about a person dealing with grief, and her doing one of the things she loves the most to help her cope with the loss. At the same time it continues the story of Modapit. Something is happening around the world, and someone close to our character was taken, she came to Modapit for answers, and that’s where our story ends so far.” – David Borges, director of “Dancing” music video
Anonymity has long been an intriguing element of electronic music culture, but few artists have pushed the boundaries quite like newly-minted producer Modapit – an enigmatic artist emerging from the shadows of underground dance music. Shrouded in their signature fishnet veil, Modapit’s secrecy allows listeners to look beyond the artist and directly at what the artist wants to present: the juxtaposition between a gothic, edgy streetwear look and euphoric, swirling pop-electronic sounds. By removing the ‘ego’ of the artist, fans fully immerse themselves into Modapit’s disparate, fashion-forward multiverse.

Modapit is revving up towards their debut album, a full-length project that promises to further spotlight the producer’s uplifting, goth-techno aura. By embracing the beauty of creative partnership, the LP will reflect the deeply collaborative tenets of the Modapit brand. Filmmakers David Borges and Carlos Perez have helped build out the Modapit universe, developing a stark visual aesthetic surrounding the producer’s mind-melding dance sonics. All together, they’ve crafted a funeral-rave vibe – a defining artistic ethos representing Modapit’s out-of-the-box approach and propensity for creating unlikely pairs.

Modapit is giving listeners their first taste of the album with lead single, “Dancing,” a jubilant yet brooding track that translates the emotion of The Weeknd’s latest album, Dawn FM, into a dance-fueled rave experience. Blending pop euphoria with driving deep house grooves and techno synths, “Dancing” delivers Modapit’s characteristic pop-electronic catharsis.
“Dancing” kicks off with epic, deep bass tones and airy, ethereal vocals before building with layers of futuristic synth arpeggios. The track then drops into a pounding four-on-the-floor beat replete with industrial sound design and hypnotizing synth melodies – a composition that transports listeners from an intimate, sultry atmosphere into a spacious, warehouse expanse.
Full of vivid, rich sonic details, “Dancing” showcases Modapit’s sparkling studio production prowess and portends an album full of similarly stand-out tracks.
“Dancing” releases alongside a stunning music video directed by David Borges with cinematography from Carlos Perez. The first part of a three part short film, the “Dancing” music video follows a woman navigating her way through a troubling past trauma. The video supplements its spell-binding camerawork with improvised dance choreography, a synthesis that perfectly complements the track’s moody yet triumphant tone.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
