After twelve massive weeks at #1, Busby Marou cede the National Indigenous Music Charts throne this week as our Young Australian of the Year Baker Boy nabs the top spot with ‘Cool as Hell’. Not just that, but we have a veritable smorgasbord of new Indigenous tunes making their debut appearance on this year’s chart.
Thelma Plum’s new song ‘Not Angry Anymore’ makes its debut appearance at #2 while Tasman Keith notches up yet another chart hit with ‘move up’. It’s also a massive week for previous National Indigenous Music Awards Best New Talent winners Electric Fields as they battle it out this weekend to become Australia’s Eurovision entry for 2019 and their banger ‘2000 and Whatever’ also gives them their first ever NIMA Chart appearance. It’s also the first chart appearance for Yorta Yorta man DRMNGNOW with his new track ‘Ancestors’.
If ever there’s been a week to head over to our SPOTIFY or APPLE MUSIC playlists to check out the new tunes, this is it.

The National Indigenous Music Charts are a project of The National Indigenous Music Awards and SGC Media. Data is sourced from Australia’s music industry standard radio monitoring system Radio Monitor, tracking data from across over 200 commercial, community, digital and regional radio stations. AMNPLIFY DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
