Second week into 2019 and we are seeing some movements in the National Indigenous Music Chart as Australia wakes from its holiday slumber. This week has seen some new and returning entries from some of our favourite Indigenous artists including classics from Baker Boy, Kev Carmody, Dan Sultan and Leah Flanagan, all revisiting summer playlists over the last week.
The seemingly unassailable Busby Marou spend a massive TENTH week at the top of the chart with their modern classic ‘Sound of Summer’ and we also see a big upwards move for Troy Cassar-Daley.
Despite the movement and new tracks, we’re still yet to see a big new song for 2019 emerge. With some big new releases slated in coming weeks, will next week be the week that we start to see the future of 2019 emerge?

ABOUT THE
NATIONAL INDIGENOUS MUSIC CHARTS
The National Indigenous Music Charts are a project of The National Indigenous Music Awards and SGC Media. Data is sourced from Australia’s music industry standard radio monitoring system Radio Monitor, tracking data from across over 200 commercial, community, digital and regional radio stations. For more details on Radio Monitor, please contact [email protected]. The charts represent the most widely heard Indigenous songs on Australian radio each week.

AMNPLIFY DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
