Sydney based artist Nicholas Brown has just released his stunning new single and music video ‘Strange Shadow’, which premiered exclusively via The AU Review.
Nicholas teamed up with legendary Sydney producer Dave Winnel (Twenty One Pilots, David Guetta, Bastille) to create his new house anthem, which blends deep house, Bollywood flair, and unapologetic queer imagery to create an electrifying sonic experience that’s sure to prick many an ear up.

“Strange Shadow is a love letter to the shadow self. It’s about embracing your dark side and being open to the journey it can take you on as you reconcile with all parts of your mind, body and soul. It’s about meeting your inner twin flame – in all its glory – and dancing in that chaos and beauty. It’s about celebrating your freak and trusting that the world will catch up soon.”
Nicholas Brown will also be releasing two remixes of his new single from Synth Lord Luke Million and iconic Perth DJ Mind Electric.

From his early days as a boy chorister to moonlighting as a Bollywood villain in Mumbai, to cavorting with Big Ted on Play School, Nicholas has lived many musical lives — including starring in the Australian premiere of the smash hit Broadway musical Come From Away, the musical drama series In Our Blood, season 2 of Upright opposite Tim Minchin, the Asher Keddie drama series Fake and an upcoming role in Alex Proyas’s sci-fi musical R.U.R. His wild Bollywood adventure was even chronicled in ABC Conversations and in the book Growing Up Indian In Australia.
New single ‘Strange Shadow’ is available on all major online stores and streaming services.

AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
