Teenager’s new chapter continues to build momentum with the release of ‘Love Is You’, the third single from their highly anticipated new body of work, Fourteen, due later this year.
Having released a string of singles for the first time in almost two decades, Nick Littlemore (PNAU, Empire of the Sun) and Pip Brown (Ladyhawke) have captivated fans with their unique blend of euphoric synths, pulsing basslines and electronic rock.
Following on from ‘A.A.’ and ‘Sail The Seas’, ‘Love Is You’ is a synth-laden tale of love, longing and infatuation, driven by a swirling, hypnotic beat with Ladyhawke’s intoxicating vocals capturing the euphoric high of falling in love. It’s their most dancefloor-ready release yet, with Nick Littlemore’s signature hooks, lush soundscape and cinematic intensity creating an immersive and mesmerising experience, which will no doubt draw in new and long-time fans alike with their unmistakable sonic chemistry.
Nick Littlemore says of the song “Sometimes songs really shoot out like arrows, straight from the heart into existence. Sometimes songs really are spells that bring light in straight from the sun. Sometimes songs just feel right. That happens a lot when Ladyhawke sings them.”

Teenager was formed in 2004 by Nick Littlemore (PNAU and Empire of the Sun) and featured the then emerging talent of Kiwi, Pip Brown, who later became known globally as Ladyhawke.
The band released their debut album, Thirteen, in 2006, which was characterised by a blend of danceable beats and punk rock influences. Recorded across studios in Sydney, London, New York, Paris and Los Angeles, the album featured hits like ‘Pony’ and ‘Bound and Gagged’, which showcased their unique and energetic style. Partly due to Nick Littlemore’s DIY ethos as well as its collaborators from Sonic Youth, Van She, Luke Steele, The Birthday Party and The Presets, the album found cult status in the UK, US and Australia.

Despite their promising start, the band was short-lived by their own preeminent success. By 2007, Pip Brown was focussed on her solo career as Ladyhawke, releasing her debut self-titled album in 2008, boasting synth and electro-pop classic gems like ‘My Delirium’ & ‘Paris Is Burning’. Similarly, Nick Littlemore returned to his work with PNAU, and soon after formed Empire of the Sun with Luke Steele, through which his distinctive artistic vision produced globally renowned genre-defying songs like Empire of the Sun’s ‘Walking On A Dream’, ‘We Are The People’ and ‘Alive’ as well as PNAU’s ‘Go Bang’, Elton John & Dua Lipa’s ‘Cold Heart’ (PNAU remix) and Troye Sivan’s ‘You Know What I Need’.
Amidst this creative outpouring, the bond between the pair never waned and they continued to collaborate, writing and recording songs between projects and at times from opposite sides of the world, meaning that this long-awaited new collection of songs is almost two decades in the making.
However, Teenager are not simply picking up where they left off – they’re charting an entirely new course through a dream-like blend of euphoric synths and pulsing basslines, kicking off with a string of undeniably catchy songs including ‘A.A.’, ‘Sail The Seas’ and ‘Love Is You’ in the lead up to Fourteen, due later this year.

AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
