Acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, producer, singer and songwriter Nicky Bomba is set to giveaway a complete Gretsch drum kit and cymbals, with all fans who pre-order the vinyl, album download or hard cover book of forthcoming solo studio album, ‘Food & Shelter’ eligible by entering HERE.
‘Food & Shelter’ is released on October 22 (ABC Music).
The main prize is a Gretsch Catalina Club Drum Kit and UFIP Cymbals, with additional prizes up for grabs comprised of vinyl test pressings with personalised artwork, a limited release framed picture of Nicky’s artwork from his ‘Sunflower Sounds’ exhibition, and Nicky Bomba pencil drumsticks, t-shirts and tea towel.
On his forthcoming new album Nicky explores ethnic folk music, 70’s funk workouts and even some quirky twangin’ surf sounds. ‘Food & Shelter’ is an album about exploration, energy, and taking risks. Nicky plays all instruments and recorded and produced the full body of work whilst deep in lockdown, at his home studio.
‘Food & Shelter’ is about simplifying and getting back to basics. Acknowledging the trappings of modern living and tapping into the essential seeds.

About Nicky Bomba
Nicky Bomba is one of Australia’s most revered artists, a world-class performer who has graced stages from Istanbul to Tokyo, Hong Kong to Detroit and garnered a weighty trove of accolades including four ARIA Awards. Known for his energy and vibrant personality, Nicky has not slowed down in the 10 years between his two solo albums. He has released 10 studio albums with the bands he leads, Melbourne Ska Orchestra and Bustamento, performing countless international tours. He also managed to fit in a stint with John Butler Trio, including co-writes, 3 album releases and numerous world tours. Now embarking on this new solo journey, Nicky unveils his musicianship on an exciting new level. It’s a brand new chapter in this creative minstrel’s life.
