Nike X Boiler Room – An open-air broadcast event live from Nike’s MELBOURNE: ON AIR at iconic Curtin House rooftop on March 25.

Announced today as part of Nike’s MELBOURNE: ON AIR, Nina Las Vegas, Basenji, Strict Face and Corin will deliver intimate sets that will turn imagination into reality, converging their future club sounds with surprise collaborations and crowd interactive, bespoke visual installations.

Just as Nike Air drives an endless desire to make innovative dreams possible, each MELBOURNE: ON AIR artist has seen their own unique musical ideas become palpable sonic realities in the studio and on stage.

A leading artist at the forefront of Australia’s ever-evolving electronic scene, Nina Las Vegas makes her widely anticipated Boiler Room debut for Nike X Boiler Room’s MELBOURNE: ON AIR. Fusing her unique style of forward-facing club sounds with otherworldly pop vocals and heavy-hitting beats – the NLV Records label boss, DJ and producer with a relentless touring schedule returns for a special set of collected sounds and own productions.

Future Classic signee Basenji makes a triumphant return to Boiler Room this month. The Sydney talent’s flawlessly produced pop slices up club and rap to forge instantly adored hits in ‘Dawn’, ‘Heirloom’ and his most recent single ‘Mistakes’ featuring Tkay Maidza. Not shy of wearing his heart on his sleeve, Basenji recently kicked off a month-long bootleg series with some of his favourite artists, redefining Hudson Mohawke’s ‘Chimes’ in his own inimitable way, alongside Jeff Buckley’s ‘Mojopin’ and more to be revealed.

Adelaide’s Strict Face ventures to MELBOURNE: ON AIR for a signature showcase of his grime-blended beats and synth-pop rap consistently endorsed by the likes of FADER, FACT and Complex. Adding to a highly followed history of diverse sets on his own Radar Radio show, Strict Face is set to shine on his Boiler Room debut.

Evolving from the UK’s rich pirate radio heritage, Boiler Room has grown from a webcam taped on a warehouse wall to become the definitive showcase of new music worldwide. In just eight years Boiler Room has weaved itself into the fabric of dance music culture, boasting an envious back catalogue of live sets from the likes of Jamie XX, Thom Yorke, Chet Faker, Honey Dijon and ?uestlove.
