The track follows the release of their debut single ‘Butterflies’ along with it’s recently released video, featuring a performance art piece by Snowdon himself. Watch it here.
‘Violence Broken’ keep things stripped with Snowdon’s gripping vocals bringing a warmth across the track that builds and swells with intensity towards the climax. Iansek explains, “I remember discussing the general themes of the song with Tom (Snowdon); the idea of arriving at the critical point of change in your life, when you decide that the way you have been living is no longer serving you.“
He continues, “Tom (Snowdon) opened his lyric book to begin writing and the first page he opened to had the words “Violence Broken” written in the middle of the page. We smiled at each other, it encapsulated the idea so well, and the words flowed easily from here.So the song is about living violently, or against your own nature, and the tumultuous process of moving through this to a place where there is no fear, to live more in line with your truer self. It is grabbing the steering wheel of your life for the first time and realising you have no idea how to drive!”
No Mono have also added a second date in Melbourne at the Northcote Social Club, ahead of their debut run of shows across Sydney, Melbourne and Alice Springs this Feb 2018. The shows will be a first glance at the music that Tom Snowdon and Tom Iansek have been creating within the walls of Pieater’s ’BellBird’ studio over the past two years, and the first time back on stage together since their record-breaking run with #1 Dads in 2015.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
