2022 marked the first time Melbourne six-piece Northeast Party House took to the Splendour In The Grass stage and in true Northeast Party House style brought the party to Splendour and delivered a blistering set to a packed tent with fans spilling out the sides! The set saw the band debut their latest single ‘Cranky Boy’ and it was an instant fan favourite!
The high energy performance of ‘Cranky Boy’ was shot and captured by Liam Pethick from Mushroom Creative.
Of the track, Northeast Party House say “In the studio, ‘Cranky Boy’ was about letting go and having fun. Sounding how we sound and being whatever we wanted to be. From SHELF LIFE we found the energy that we initially set out to establish, as a group. ‘Cranky Boy’ is a continuation of that. It’s the track we’ve always been trying to make, it’s fun and obnoxious, we’ll have fun playing it live and also enjoying dropping it in a DJ set without compromising the D floor.
“In ‘Cranky Boy’, we are highlighting and hopefully discouraging people from being aggressive in the fun / party / club environments that we as band exist.”
‘Cranky Boy’ was written by Zach, Sean and Mitch and self-produced by two of the band Sean and Mal – Mal also mixed and mastered. It was all done in Sean & Mal’s separate home studios – predominantly Sean’s.
Northeast Party House are performing in Melbourne at the Northcote Theatre on Sat August 27th. For tickets and more info head to northeastpartyhouse.com.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
