Known for sparking connections, Jameson Irish Whiskey is supporting cult platform NTS Radio, to curate a music festival for the digital age, bringing together artists across the world for a 24-hour live radio festival.
On Saturday, May 2 from 6pm AEST, NTS will host Remote Utopias on their website – a 24-hour radio takeover across two live channels. To help bridge the gap during the lockdown period, NTS has called on musicians, DJs, artists and filmmakers from across the globe for a whirlwind of music of all genres, exclusive premieres, radio and live video streams straight to your sofa.
Remote Utopias will connect a diverse line-up of established and emerging artists, all of varying genres, generations and geographies. Jameson have called on some of their best mates to perform, including hotly tipped New Zealand rapper JessB (who recently played Jameson House of Rounds stage at Laneway), Irish rap sensation Rejjie Snow, rising LA talent DUCKWRTH & British soul singer Celeste.
Rounding out the rest of the stacked line-up, NTS have enlisted the likes of Tame Impala, JPEGMAFIA and Khruangbin, Bicep, Omar-S and more alongside numerous resident NTS hosts. The takeover will also see NTS’ breakfast show presenter Charlie Bones hosting No Guilty Pleasures, an extended spin-off of his fan favourite Do!! You!!! Jukebox segment. Affectionately dubbed as “Larry David with a ponytail and a penchant for Prefab Sprout”, Charlie will be taking call-ins and requests from listeners across the globe, playing their not-so-guilty pleasures live on-air.
As the world has gone into shutdown with gigs, festivals and tours being cancelled, mounting pressure has been placed on creatives, musicians and artists. To help, Jameson are supporting the NTS’ programmed 24-hour radio festival with that support going directly to upwards of fifty artists, from NTS residents to emerging and established talent, during a period of unprecedented uncertainty within the industry. The festival will also be fundraising for The Global FoodBanking Network, encouraging listeners to donate when they tune in and give back to the global community.
Details of the broadcast can be found at nts.live, where fans can sign up to receive the broadcast information in advance, as well as via the NTS mobile apps on iTunes and Google Play, which will serve real-time push notifications. If you miss the live stream, the 24-hour special will live on Jameson’s website from next week.
While the world continues to stay home, music can never be locked down, and music (like Jameson) is best shared between mates.
Tune into REMOTE UTOPIAS from 6pm AEST Saturday, May 2

About JAMESON WHISKEY
In 1780, John Jameson established a way of making Irish whiskey that we’ve been proudly sticking to ever since. As you can imagine, producing a whiskey that has been enjoyed for over two centuries, takes a lot. But don’t worry, we’ve distilled over 200 years of courage, craft and a collective appreciation for taste, into each and every bottle. The secret behind our signature smoothness is our process and our people. Triple distilled, twice as smooth, one of a kind. First, we take the best of pot still and fine grain whiskeys. Then we triple distil them – not because we have to because we want to as it gives it its signature smoothness. Finally, we age them in oak casks for a minimum of 4 years. Why do we do all that? Taste, that’s why. Best served over ice with dry ginger ale and a squeeze of lime.
Enjoy Jameson Responsibly.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
