Enigmatic Melbourne vocalist and producer NYNE today returns with a sparkly, brand-new single that’s destined to soundtrack your summer.
‘Shooting Star’ is unabashedly NYNE’s biggest and brightest step into the world of pop, after a brilliant run of crafting shadowy and mysterious tracks that have seen her emerge as a critically-acclaimed solo artist and one of the most in-demand top-line vocalists in the country, having guested on tracks for everyone from Paces and Allday, through to Drake’s OVO production and artist collective.
Boasting shimmery acoustic strums, snappy beats and arguably her most addictive chorus yet, ‘Shooting Star’ looks set to elevate NYNE to a new level of recognition, building on the brilliant run of singles she’s already had – ‘I Think You’re,’ ‘Bad Trip,’ and ‘Facts’ – which have all been widely supported by the likes of triple j, Pilerats, Purple Sneakers and more.

NYNE first burst on the scene a couple of years ago after building a SoundCloud reputation for her productions to provide the vocal hook and inspiration for Sevn Thomas’ (Rhianna, Travis Scott) breakout single, ‘Can’t Sleep Alone,’ and thus became the first Australian artist to be associated with Drake’s hip-hop and production outfit, OVO.
Since then she’s turned heads with her debut single ‘Bad Trip,’ which has over 1 million worldwide streams, and written and performed on Allday’s smash ‘Sides’, as well as Paces’ monster track ‘Savage’, with millions of streams and a whole lot of radio play between them.
Now NYNE is back with this bright new sound and looks set to continue to build the momentum she’s continued to feed into over the last few years – continuing to maintain her mystique, but letting in just enough light to keep her fans craving more music, more info, more NYNE.
