Ocean Grove Drop New Single “Thunderdome [Feat. Running Touch]”

The Odd World has delivered another message from Ocean Grove today via their new single “Thunderdome [Feat. Running Touch]”. The third track from their ARIA top 5 debut album, The Rhapsody Tapes, sees the ever elusive Running Touch step up to the microphone and sing the verses before the full weight of Ocean Grove comes crashing into the chorus.

The next few months will see Ocean Grove spread The Rhapsody Tapes far and wide with the announcement they will take the Odd World to Europe to play their first ever overseas shows with Australian label buddies Beartooth. Before they jet off to the Northern Hemisphere, the boys from Melbourne will do one more lap around their homeland with Architects in May.

Written, recorded and produced entirely by the band in their drummer/producer Sam Bassal’s bedroom (who was just 19 years old), upon its release The Rhapsody Tapes debuted at #5 on the ARIA Album Chart and was received with a raft of acclaim for its bold experimentation and creation of their very own sound in what Kerrang! has called an “intriguingly non-conformist debut” while Hysteria Magazine gave it a flawless 5 star rating, calling it “one of the most amazing feats in Australian music”. Rock Sound declared “you haven’t heard anything like this”, and the listeners of triple j agreed as The Rhapsody Tapes landed Feature Album of the Week ahead of release and was dubbed “one of the first great heavy records of 2017” by the station.
