#1: Tones And I ‘Dance Monkey’ – Tones And I’s meteoric rise continues, with ‘Dance Monkey’ notching up an unprecedented 17th week at #1, extending the record for most time spent in the top spot. In another week of firsts for the ARIA Award-nominated singer, she performed the global hit on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and was honoured by triple j with the J Award for Unearthed Artist of the Year. She remains the #1 song in the UK and has now reached #1 in France. It has now hit #1 in 19 countries. Meanwhile, her newest single ‘Never Seen The Rain’ remains at #10 for a fourth consecutive week.
Tones And I is set to perform at the 2019 ARIA Awards on 27 November.
#2: Billie Eilish ‘everything i wanted’ – An unexpected treat for fans, ‘everything i wanted’ is the first music Billie Eilish has released since her album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? came out earlier this year. This is Eilish’s second highest peak on the Singles Chart to date, behind ‘Bad Guy’ (#1 Apr. ‘19), which currently sits at #21, 34 weeks after it was released.
#13. Taylor Swift ‘Lover’ – Following another public stoush over the rights to her back catalogue, Taylor Swift returns to the Top 50 as ‘Lover’ jumps 20 places. The track peaked at #3 in September and had an initial run of 10 weeks in the Top 50, before exiting the chart for two weeks then re-entering at #43 last week.
#38: Harry Styles ‘Watermelon Sugar’ – Harry Styles enters the Top 50 for the second time in 2019 with ‘Watermelon Sugar’, which he performed to much fanfare on last week’s episode of Saturday Night Live. The track is the second taste of Styles’ forthcoming album Fine Line, following ‘Lights Up’, which peaked at #7 in October of this year and currently sits at #27.
#39: OneFour ‘In The Beginning’ – Following a string of viral hits, OneFour score their first entry on the ARIA Charts. Currently on their maiden headline tour of Australia, the Western Sydney outfit use ‘In The Beginning’ to assert their position as Australia’s dominant drill rap crew.

Albums Chartifacts:
#1: Paul Kelly ‘Songs From The South: Paul Kelly’s Greatest Hits 1985-2019’ – Iconic Australian singer-songwriter Paul Kelly achieves his third #1 debut with his new retrospective, going one better than his first best-of, Songs From The South, which peaked at #2 in June 1997. The milestone is a fitting cap to Kelly’s illustrious career to date, which has included 17 Top 50 albums – eight of which peaked in the Top Ten – and a staggering 58 ARIA Award nominations, 14 wins and an induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame.
It wasn’t until 2017 that Kelly scored his first #1 album with Life Is Fine (#1 Aug. ‘17), but he’s been on a roll since, topping the charts in the two following years, with Nature (#1 Oct. ‘18) and this latest release. Last year’s concept album Thirteen Ways To Look At Birds won Kelly his most recent ARIA Award, and he is in contention for three more at this year’s ceremony, including Best Male Artist.
#2: Celine Dion ‘Courage’ – Celine Dion returns to the Top Ten for a tenth time with her first English language studio album in six years, after Loved Me Back To Life (#9 Nov. ‘13). Dion last appeared on the Albums Chart with the compilation The Best So Far… 2018 Tour Edition, which peaked at #4 in August 2018. Writers on Courage include Sia, David Guetta, Sam Smith and Skylar Grey, among others.
#7: Lady Antebellum ‘Ocean’ – Lady Antebellum return with their eighth studio album Ocean, their first to be produced by award-winning producer Dan Huff. The US country trio has landed in the Top Ten with each album released since their breakthrough second LP Need You Now rose to #5 in April 2011, with the exception of their 2012 Christmas LP, On This Winter’s Night.
#18. Tory Lanez ‘Chixtape 5’ – Canadian rapper and singer Tory Lanez makes his second appearance on the ARIA Albums Chart, following I Told You, which peaked at #37 in August 2016. A tribute to 2000s hip hop and R&B, ‘Chixtape 5’ features remixes of popular tracks from the era, which feature the original artists including Trey Songz, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Ashanti, Chris Brown, Mya, T-Pain, Fabolous and Mario.
#38: Winston Surfshirt ‘Apple Crumble’ – Aussie six-piece Winston Surfshirt return to the Top 50 for a second time with ‘Apple Crumble’, the follow-up to ‘Sponge Cake’, which peaked at #24 in October 2017. The band’s latest album arrives as they embark on a summer tour of Australia and New Zealand.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
