Singles Chartifacts: 

#1: Jonas Brothers ‘Sucker’ – A week on from debuting at #5, ‘Sucker’, the comeback single by the Jonas Brothers, hits the top of the ARIA Singles Chart. Already their highest peak on the chart, it becomes the trio’s first #1 in Australia. ‘Sucker’ has also hit #1 in a number of other territories, including New Zealand, Canada and the US.

#2: Post Malone ‘Wow.’ – In its eleventh week in the Top Ten, Post Malone’s ‘Wow.’ jumps up four spots to claim a new peak at #2. The single becomes the American rapper’s sixth to hit the Top Three on the ARIA Singles Chart.

#9: Dominic Fike ‘3 Nights’ – Nine weeks into its chart run, ‘3 Nights’ by American artist Dominic Fike moves up three spots to #9, hitting the Top Ten for the first time.

#12: Billie Eilish ‘Wish You Were Gay’ (Debut) – Billie Eilish hits the Singles Chart with ‘Wish You Were Gay’. The track is the fourth single released from Eilish’s forthcoming debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? following ‘You Should See Me In My Crown’ (#47 Aug. ’18), ‘When The Party’s Over’ (#10 Oct. ’18) and ‘Bury A Friend’ (#3 Feb. ’19).

#17: Lauv & Troye Sivan ‘I’m So Tired…’ – Lauv and Troye Sivan continue their climb up the Singles Chart with ‘I’m So Tried…’. In the track’s seventh week in the Top 50, it’s up five places to #17.

Albums Chartifacts:

#1: Ariana Grande ‘Thank U, Next’ – Ariana Grande’s fifth album takes out a fourth week at #1 on the ARIA Charts. Thank U, Next has now spent more weeks at #1 than her three previous #1s combined.

#2: Kerser ‘Lifestyle’ (Debut) – Sydney rapper Kerser takes out a new peak on the ARIA Albums Chart with Lifestyle. The follow-up to Engraved In The Game (#5 Nov. ’17) is his eighth studio album, and sixth to hit the Top Ten. Lifestyle takes over from Tradition (#4 Nov. ’16) as Kerser’s highest chart peak.

#8: Juice WRLD ‘Death Race For Love’ (Debut) – Releasing Death Race For Love, his second album, American rapper Juice WRLD makes his Albums Chart debut. Coming less than a year on from debut album Goodbye & Good Riddance, Juice WRLD’s new release features the single ‘Robbery’ (#41 Mar. ’19)

#11: Foals ‘Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 1’ (Debut) – British band Foals take out a third Top 50 entry with Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 1. The album is the first of two albums the group are set to release in 2019; Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 2 is slated for release in September. Foals last charted with What Went Down (#3 Sept. ’15).

#14: Dido ‘Still On My Mind’ (Debut) – Dido releases her fifth studio album, Still On My Mind. It’s the English singer-songwriter’s first studio album since Girl Who Got Away (#12 Mar. ’13). She previously hit #1 on the Albums Chart with No Angel (#1 Mar. ’01) and Life For Rent (#1 Oct. ’03).
