Singles Chartifacts:
#1: Tones And I ‘Dance Monkey’ – Tones And I continues to reign at the top with a third week at #1. It has been over a decade since an Australian Female solo artist has spent at least three weeks at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart – that was Gabriella Cilmi with ‘Sweet About Me’ (four weeks at #1, May-Jun ’08). Tones And I also has two other singles in the chart – ‘Johnny Run Away’ at #18 and ‘Never Seen The Rain’ at #22.
#8 Blanco Brown ‘The Git Up’ – After nine weeks in the chart, Blanco Brown’s ‘The Git Up’ moves up to a new peak position of #8. The country-crossover hit seeks to follow the success of Lil Nas X’s ‘Old Town Road’.
#12 Marshmello feat. Kane Brown ‘One Thing Right’ – Another country crossover moving up in the charts is ‘One Thing Right’. Dance producer Marshmello and country singer Kane Brown’s collaboration moves to a new peak of #12. It is still climbing after seven weeks in the chart.
#15: Lil Tecca ‘Ransom’ (Debut) – American rapper Lil Tecca makes his ARIA Top 50 debut with ‘Ransom’. The track has been a Top Ten hit in the US for the 16-year-old artist, whose real name is Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe.
#19: Lauv feat. Anne-Marie ‘F**k, I’m Lonely’ – American pop singer and producer Lauv and British singer Anne-Marie move up 18 spots in its second week, the biggest mover of the week. The track will feature in the new season of the Netflix teen drama 13 Reasons Why, which is released later this month.

Albums Chartifacts:
#1: Slipknot ‘We Are Not Your Kind’ (Debut) – Slipknot score their third #1 on the Albums Chart with We Are Not Your Kind. The masked American metal band’s sixth album is their first since .5: The Gray Chapter (#1 Oct. ’14) five years ago. They also previously topped the ARIA Albums Chart with All Hope Is Gone (#1 Sept. ’08).
#3 The Teskey Brothers ‘Run Home Slow’ – Melbourne band The Teskey Brothers lands another top three placing with the second album Run Home Slow. The album also holds #2 on the ARIA Vinyl Albums Chart. Their debut album Half Mile Harvest also remains in the chart, placing at #44.
#7 Fleetwood Mac ‘50 Years – Don’t Stop’ – Fleetwood Mac return to Australia this week with a new line-up featuring Neil Finn and Mike Campbell. The huge arena tour has pushed their latest collection, 50 Years – Don’t Stop, a 3CD or 5LP box set, into the top ten.
#8: Bon Iver ‘i,i’ (Debut) – American indie folk act Bon Iver scores a third Top Ten album with i,i. Their fourth album, i,i, was released digitally three weeks ahead of the planned release on 30 August. Bon Iver have also charted with their self-titled second album (#2 Jun. ’11) and 22, A Million (#22 Oct. ’16).
#13: SAFIA ‘Story’s Start Or End’ (Debut) – Canberra trio SAFIA take out their second Top Ten entry as they release Story’s Start Or End. The group’s second album is the follow-up to Internal (#2 Sept. ’16). They’re about to start their Australian tour in support of the album.
#14: Seeker Lover Keeper ‘Wild Seeds’ (Debut) – Australian supergroup Seeker Lover Keeper return with their first album in eight years, Wild Seeds. It’s the second album for the trio comprising Sarah Blasko, Sally Seltmann and Holly Throsby, after their self-titled debut (#3 Jun. ’11). Seeker Lover Keeper will be on tour around Australian during September and October.
