Singles Chartifacts: 

#1: Drake ‘God’s Plan’ – Drake’s ‘God’s Plan’ maintains its grip on the #1 position on the ARIA Singles Chart for a seventh straight week.

#9: XXXTentacion ‘Sad!’ – ‘Sad!’ by XXXTentacion continues its climb up the chart moving thirteen spots to a new peak at #9. XXXTentacion also features in this week’s top 50 at #48 with ‘Changes’, the second single off the American Rapper’s second studio album ‘?’.

#11: Khalid & Normani ‘Love Lies’ – In its fifth week, ‘Love Lies’ by Khalid & Normani moves up three spots to a new peak at #11. The track is featured on the movie soundtrack for Love, Simon.

#18: Lil Dicky Feat. Chris Brown ‘Freaky Friday (Debut) – American rapper and comedian Lil Dicky makes his first appearance in the ARIA Singles Chart top 50 with ‘Freaky Friday’ featuring American singer-songwriter Chris Brown.

Albums Chartifacts:

#1: Ed Sheeran ‘÷’ – Following a triumphant tour around Australia, Ed Sheeran’s ÷ remains in the top spot for a 25th week. The album has now been at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart for as long as John Farnham’s ‘Whispering Jack’ (#1 1986). The only other albums that have appeared for longer at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart are Delta Goodrem’s ‘Innocent Eyes’ (#1 Sept. ‘03) which spent twenty nine weeks at #1 back in 2003/2004, Adele’s ‘21’ (#1 May ’11), which spent thirty two weeks at #1 back in 2011/2012 & Dire Straits’ Brothers In Arms (#1 1985) which chalked up 34 weeks in 1985/1986.

#3: XXXTentacion – ‘?’ (Debut) – American rapper XXXTentacion scores a new ARIA Albums Chart peak with ‘?’. His second studio album comes about seven months on from his debut album ‘17’ (#29 Sept. ’17).

#9: Dua Lipa – ‘Dua Lipa’ – As English singer Dua Lipa tours the country, her debut self-titled album reaches a new peak on the ARIA Albums Chart.

#11: Luke Bryan ‘What Makes You Country’ – With his Australian tour now complete, American country singer-songwriter & American Idol Judge Luke Bryan’s sixth studio album ‘What Makes You Country’ makes its way back up the chart, jumping twenty seven spots to #11. The album originally peaked at #6 back in December 2017. He also re-appears on the chart at #39 with his fourth studio album ‘Crash My Party’ which re-enters the top 50 this week after originally peaking at #19 back in August of 2013 and at #48 with ‘Kill The Lights’ (#4 Aug. ’15)

#16: Luke Combs ‘The One’s For You’ (Debut) – Also touring the country is American country music singer and songwriter, Luke Combs. His debut studio album ‘This One’s For You’ which was released back in June 2017, makes its way into the ARIA Top 50 ARIA Albums Chart for the very first time.

#20: Billy Ray Cyrus ‘Thin Line’ (Debut) – As his tour continues around Australia, Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus’ fourteenth studio album ‘Thin Line’ hits the ARIA Top 50 Albums Chart. This is his third appearance in the top 50 following ‘It Won’t Be The Last’ (#20 Aug. ’93) and ‘Some Gave All’ (#1 Oct. ‘1992).
