Singles Chartifacts: 

#1: Jonas Brothers ‘Sucker’ – ‘Sucker’ gives American siblings the Jonas Brothers a third consecutive week at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart.

#5: Dominic Fike ‘3 Nights’ – Dominic Fike’s ‘3 Nights’ continues its climb up the Singles Chart. In its eleventh week in the Top 50, it’s up three spots to #5.

#10: Dean Lewis ‘7 Minutes’ – As he tops the Albums Chart with A Place We Knew, Sydney singer-songwriter Dean Lewis snares a second Top Ten entry with ‘7 Seconds’. The track jumps up seven spots in its tenth week on the chart. Lewis’ other Top Ten entry was with ‘Be Alright’ (#1 Sept. ’18), which this week jumps back up to #17.

#11: P!nk ‘Walk Me Home’ – Moving up one spot, P!nk’s ‘Walk Me Home’ claims a new peak at #11. It’s the single’s fifth week in the Top 50. 

#19: Calvin Harris & Rag’N’Bone Man ‘Giant’ – Sitting in the Top 50 for an eleventh week, Calvin Harris and Rag’N’Bone Man’s collaboration ‘Giant’ moves up five spots to hit a new peak at #19.

Albums Chartifacts:

#1: Dean Lewis ‘A Place We Knew’ (Debut) – Sydney’s Dean Lewis debuts at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with A Place We Knew. The ARIA Award-winning singer-songwriter’s debut album comes two years on from the EP, Same Kind Of Different (#27 May ’17) and includes the #1 single ‘Be Alright’ (#1 Sept. ’18). Other tracks from the album to chart include ‘Waves’ (#12 May ’17), ‘7 Minutes’ (#10 Apr. ’19) and, making its debut this week, ‘Stay Awake’ (#26). This week, Lewis received ARPA Award nominations for Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year and Pop Work of the Year.

A Place We Knew is the second Australian #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart in 2019.

#7: Bryan Adams ‘Shine A Light’ – Following the end of his Australian tour, Canadian rock veteran Bryan Adams hits the Top Ten with Shine A Light. Adams’ fourteenth studio album originally debuted at #21 at the beginning of March. It becomes his sixth Top Ten album in Australia.

#10: Mötley Crüe ‘The Dirt Soundtrack’ (Debut) – Glam metal veterans Mötley Crüe return to the chart with The Dirt Soundtrack. As well as tracks that appear in the band’s Netflix biopic, there are four new tracks, including a cover of Madonna’s ‘Like A Virgin’ and ‘The Dirt (Est. 1981)’, which features rapper Machine Gun Kelly (who plays Crüe drummer Tommy Lee in the movie). Mötley Crüe last charted with Greatest Hits (#30 Sept. ’11)

#11: Flume ‘Hi This Is Flume (Mixtape)’ (Debut) – ARIA-winning producer Flume grabs a third Albums Chart entry with Hi This Is Flume (Mixtape). The release is the Sydney artist’s first new music since 2017’s Skin Companion EP 2. Flume has previously hit the top of the chart with Flume (#1 Feb. ’13) and Skin (#1 Jun. ’16).

#16: The Murlocs ‘Manic Candid Episode’ (Debut) – The Murlocs take out a second Top 50 entry with Manic Candid Episode. The Melbourne band’s fourth album comes two years on from Old Locomotive (#15 Aug. ’17). They’ll be touring nationally in support of the album in May.
