Drake hits the top with ‘God’s Plan’ as ‘The Greatest Showman’ Soundtrack chalks up week 5 at Number One, on this week’s ARIA Charts

Singles Chartifacts:
#1: Drake ‘God’s Plan’ – Canadian rapper Drake scores his second #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘God’s Plan’. Taken from the EP Scary Hours, the track debuted at #5 last week before making the jump to the top spot this week. Drake previously topped the ARIA Singles Chart for seven weeks with ‘One Dance’ (#1 May ’16).
#6: Bruno Mars Feat. Cardi B ‘Finesse’ – After a week out of the top ten, Bruno Mars and Cardi B’s ‘Finesse’ jumps back up five spots to claim a new peak at #6. The track was performed by the duo at the 60th Grammy Awards this week. Mars was a big winner on the night, taking home six awards including Album Of The Year for 24K Magic (#3 Nov. ’16), plus Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year for ‘That’s What I Like’ (#5 Apr. ’17). 24K Magic is up eight spots on the Albums Chart to #17.
#7: Camila Cabello ‘Never Be The Same’ – Jumping up five spots in its third week in the top 50, ‘Never Be The Same’ cracks the top ten for the first time. It becomes Camila Cabello’s second top ten single, following on from ‘Havana’ (#1 Nov. ’17).
#9: Pnau ‘Go Bang’ – Sydney’s Pnau pick up their second top ten on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Go Bang’. Its move of five spots to #9 comes a year on from ‘Chameleon’ (#4 Feb. ’17) giving the trio their highest peak to date.
#10: Rudimental Feat. Jess Glynne, Macklemore & Dan Caplen ‘These Days’ – In its second week on the chart, Rudimental’s ‘These Days’ moves up eight spots to #10. It becomes the British group’s fifth top ten entry and their first since ‘Lay It On Me’ (#7 Oct. ’15).

#1: Soundtrack ‘The Greatest Showman’ – It’s week five at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart for the soundtrack to The Greatest Showman.
#4: Gang Of Youths ‘Go Farther In Lightness’ – With four entries in this year’s Triple J Hottest 100, including three in the top ten, Sydney’s Gang Of Youths jump back up 24 spots on this week’s chart to #4 with former #1 and 2017 ARIA Awards Album Of The Year winner Go Farther In Lightness. It’s the album’s sixth week in the top ten. The band have also scored their first top 50 entry on the Singles Chart this week with ‘Let Me Down Easy’ hitting #49.
#5: Foo Fighters ‘Greatest Hits’ – In the week they wrap up their Australian tour, American rockers Foo Fighters re-enter the top ten on the ARIA Albums Chart at #5 withGreatest Hits. Current studio album Concrete And Gold is up one spot this week to #14.
#10: Machine Head ‘Catharsis’ (debut) – American metal band Machine Head take out their third top ten on the ARIA Charts with Catharsis. The Californian group’s ninth studio album takes over from Unto The Locust (#10 Oct. ’11) and Bloodstones & Diamonds (#10 Nov. ’14) as their highest peak.
#13: Kendrick Lamar ‘Damn.’ – Topping the Triple J Hottest 100 with ‘Humble.’ (#2 Apr. ‘17), Kendrick Lamar is up ten spots to #13 on the Albums Chart with Damn. (#2 Apr. ’17). ‘Humble.’ has also experienced a boost, moving from #45 to #20 on the Singles Chart.
