Singles Chartifacts: 

#1: Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper ‘Shallow’ – After returning to #1 last week, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s ‘Shallow’ holds the top spot on the Singles Chart again this week. It’s the Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe-winning song’s fifth week at #1.

#5: Jonas Brothers ‘Sucker’ (Debut) – The recently-reunited Jonas Brothers make their first Singles Chart appearance since 2008 with ‘Sucker’. The trio’s first single since 2013 is their first Top Ten in Australia and takes over from ‘Burnin’ Up’ (31 Oct. ’08) as their highest chart peak.

#7: Khalid ‘Talk’ – In its third week in the Top Ten, Khalid’s ‘Talk’ moves up one spot to nab another new peak at #7.

#12: Dominic Fike ‘3 Nights’ – Dominic Fike’s debut chart entry, ‘3 Nights’, moves up six spots to a new peak of #12. It’s the track’s eighth week in the Top 50.

#22: Lauv & Troye Sivan ‘I’m So Tired…’ – Moving up seven spots to #22, the Lauv and Troye Sivan collaboration ‘I’m So Tired…’ hits a new peak at #22 in its sixth week on the chart.

#1: Ariana Grande ‘Thank U, Next’ – Following a week at #2, Ariana Grande returns to #1 on the Albums Chart with Thank U, Next. It’s the American artist’s third week at #1 with her fifth album.

 #8: Hozier ‘Wasteland, Baby!’ (Debut) – Hozier returns to the ARIA Top Ten with Wasteland, Baby! The Irish singer-songwriter’s second album is the follow-up to his self-titled debut (#3 Apr. ’15) and features an appearance by the legendary Mavis Staples on opening track, ‘Nina Cried Power’.

#15: Pond ‘Tasmania’ (Debut) – Perth band Pond return with their eighth album,Tasmania. Coming two years on from The Weather (#33 May ’17), it’s their fourth release to hit the Top 50 and joins Man It Feels Like Space Again (#15 Feb. ’15) as their highest-charting album.

#17: Solange ‘When I Get Home’ (Debut) – After its surprise release, When I Get Home give Solange a new peak on the ARIA Albums Chart. The American singer-songwriter’s fourth album comes three years after A Seat At The Table (#21 Oct. ’16). Collaborators on When I Get Home include Gucci Mane, Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes, Sampha, Earl Sweatshirt and more.

#18: Tom Walker ‘What A Time To Be Alive’ (Debut) – After hitting the Singles Chart with ‘Leave A Light On’ (#20 Oct. ’18), Scottish songwriter Tom Walker hits the Albums Chart with What A Time To Be Alive. Walker’s debut album includes the aforementioned single, as well as a collaboration with Zara Larsson and ‘Walk Alone’, a track featuring Walker that was on Rudimental’s album Toast To Our Differences (#41 Feb. ’19).
