Gearing up for a massive homecoming, Old Mervs’ home state show on Saturday 14 September will be one for the memory books with the inaugural ‘Old Mervs Live at Freo Arts Centre’ event. This all ages special event will not only be the duo’s biggest headline show to date, it will also feature a stack of stellar acts handpicked by Dave and Henry, including Ra Ra Viper, Fool Nelson, Ullah and Hey So Hungry.
Old Mervs kicked 2024 off with a bang, placing at 47 in the triple j Hottest 100 with “Sweetheart” and scoring a nomination for Best New Artist at the 2024 Rolling Stone Awards.
Released in August 2023, their sophomore EP Give It Up debuted at #2 in the Australian ARIA charts and has now collected over 4.5 million streams, capturing the hearts of listeners nationwide. This is the first chance for NZ fans and Australia’s capital cities to hear their new favourite Old Mervs tracks live and in concert.
An unbreakable bond shared between lifelong mates, Dave and Henry hail from the tiny farming community of Kojonup, a town three hours south of Perth, Western Australia. Starting out as school friends and rehearsing in a makeshift space in an old farm shed, Old Mervs are a far cry from their humble beginnings.
Turning heads of industry and fans alike with their sunny sound, the duo are fresh off their sold out national EP tour, have supported some of the biggest tours in the country including Liam Gallagher, The Wombats, Spacey Jane and King Stingray, and have played huge festival slots at Groovin the Moo, Yours and Owls and Splendour in the Grass and more. They’ll be bringing their mosh-ready new single “What You’ve Lost” to the stage, giving fans an early preview of new music set to drop later this year.
Don’t miss your chance to ask Old Mervs “how the fark are ya?” as they hit the road this August and September.
Old Mervs new single “What You’ve Lost” is available now wherever you consume good music.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
