Geelong Based Acoustic Folk Artist Releases New Single ‘Kaikoura’ + Announces Tour Dates
Geelong based indie folk artist Olly Friend has just released his brand new single ‘Kaikoura’ and will be celebrating with a run of tour dates in April.
‘Kaikoura’ premiered recently via Music Feeds.
Olly Friend draws influence from Ben Howard, Daughter and Matt Corby to create an earnest, raw sonic that is truly endearing.
The young singer/songwriter has spent the last two years touring relentlessly and building a solid fan base. In the process, Friend has shared stage with Pierce Brothers, Marlon Williams, Woodlock, Hein Cooper, Patrick Jamesand The Kin (USA).
After the successful release of EP ‘As We Grow Older’, the young musician has finally taken some time to put pen to paper to focus on his next release.
Olly Friend has kicked off 2017 with several sold-out headline performances, setting the tone for 2017. He will soon be announcing more international touring across Europe, UK and Canada and of course a bunch of more Australian dates.
Friend is now gearing up for a run of Australian tour dates in April, which includes performances along the East Coast and Perth.
‘Kaikoura’ is available for free download on Triple J Unearthed.
