The emcee community in the UK has been thriving, even more so when Grime emerged in the early 00’s and made huge waves in British music. That being said, the lack of British-Asian emcees has been a topic that arguably isn’t spoken on enough. On a mission to help bring awareness and encourage others to pick up the mic is Nika D (50M+ streams), the founder of Virus Syndicate Sharing his latest single ‘Burn’ alongside Asian hit-makers Karan Kanchan (20M+ streams) and MC Altaf (90M+ streams), Nika D is eager to open a wider conversation.

Nika D, the founding member of Virus Syndicate, a world-famous Grime and Bass collective from Manchester is predominantly known as a skilled emcee and entrepreneur. Born and raised in South Manchester, he founded content creation companies including EY3 Media and Cvlture TV. Growing up with Grime and pirate radio, his love for being an emcee has never dimmed. Coming from an Indian and British heritage, Nika D is on a journey to help embrace MC culture within the British-Asian community.
