Live Nation today announces the return of On The Steps, a fortnight of curated outdoor concerts taking place on the city’s most spectacular outdoor stage, the Sydney Opera House Forecourt. Running from 26 November to 10 December, the event series will bring together global music fans for nine unforgettable evenings of world-class entertainment with one of the most breathtaking views in the world.

Kicking off on Tuesday 26 November with globally renowned and platinum-selling British band Glass Animals, this year’s lineup showcases an electric display of Australia’s most celebrated talent performing alongside top-tier international artists, across a diverse range of genres and styles.

Homegrown heroes include Troye Sivan, Missy Higgins, Tones And I, Tina Arena and Richard Marx, along with international powerhouses, Glass Animals, Two Door Cinema Club & Declan McKenna, and New Zealand favourite Brooke Fraser with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

On The Steps takes place at one of the world’s most spectacular outdoor venues, offering an unparalleled concert experience that’s set beneath the iconic sails and framed by the dramatic Monumental Steps and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Celebrating the start of summer, On The Steps is set to provide audiences with some of the world’s best performances, all within a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The 2024 On The Steps program is proud to partner with the music industry’s charity Support Act, where all donations made through the On the Steps golden ticket promotion and other efforts to be announced will be matched by Live Nation*. Support Act provides vital crisis relief, mental health and wellbeing support to musicians, managers, crew, music workers and organisations across all genres of music.

On The Steps expected to welcome more than 50,000 fans to the Opera House’s Forecourt across the fortnight.

I Love You So F***ing Much is the follow-up to 2020’s critically revered Gold ARIA Accredited Dreamland, which sold over 12M copies globally and gave life to “Heat Waves”, the record-breaking song that became the biggest international hit from a British band in almost 30 years and is now x19 Platinum ARIA Accredited. It was the first song to reach #1 with a single writer and producer since Pharrell’s “Happy” and led to the pop world’s biggest acts, including Florence Welch, all wanting to work with band member Dave. Additionally, it became the first song by a British band since the Spice Girls’ “Wannabe” in 1995, to claim #1 for 5 consecutive weeks in the Billboard 100.

The four-piece were also crowned triple j’s Hottest 100 winner, with “Heat Waves” topping the Australian singles chart for six consecutive weeks and #1 on the ARIA Top 100 Singles for the year of 2021. Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, producer and best-selling author Richard Marx has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, starting with his self-titled debut which went to No. 8 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.
