Torch Fest is the inaugural, first-of-its kind mental health music festival slated to take place on Saturday 16th January 2021. It offers a COVID-safe format in a takeover of all six stages of the 1,200 capacity venue at Sydney’s The Factory Theatre. With Mental Health at the forefront, the festival is a chance to eradicate stigma associated with talking about mental health while retaining the essence of fun and celebration.
65 artists including Paces, Austen, Kilter, Alfie Arcuri, Coterie and Timomatic will take to the 4 stages of music across the duration of the 1 day festival. All performers on the day will perform their Torch Song, the light that gets you through, as part of their full set and the festival will distribute battery-powered torches to each attendee to flick on when each of the Torch Songs are played throughout the day. Torch Fest also features a stage of comedy and a stage of dedicated to mental health programming.
“Being able to put on a music festival in January, in NSW, is something that many can’t fathom at the moment”, says CEO of Listen Up Music, Ali Taylor “but with our purposefully intimate festival, we aim to show people that festivals can be run and deliver programming that is both engaging, and helps the one thing that is impacting people so much at the moment, and that’s mental health.”

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
