Melbourne’s iconic seaside live-music precinct returns in February and March 2026 for its biggest season yet, headlined by hip-hop legends, pop icons and trailblazing acts from across the globe.

Following an unforgettable 2025 program that re-established Palace Foreshore as one of Australia’s most exciting summer music destinations, the precinct is set to roar back into action this year. From February 26 through to March 15, the iconic St Kilda Triangle will once again transform into the city’s ultimate sun-drenched playground for music lovers, hosting a world-class program of headline concerts, one-day festivals and special performances.

Today marks the reveal of the season’s two new headline events, the debut of Droppin’ Science, led by US icons De La Soul alongside a powerhouse line up of local and international hip-hop talent, plus the addition of pop sensation Peach PRC to the 2026 Palace Foreshore slate. This comes alongside a stellar run of previously announced shows from Black Country, New Road, The Streets and Pendulum.

Taking it back to the essence on Friday 27 February, Droppin’ Science is a night dedicated to hip-hop in all its forms, the pioneers of the culture who opened new doors, and the new wave of trailblazers walking boldly through them. Landing at Palace Foreshore as part of a national run, the event brings together the fearlessly creative, the wildly influential and the unapologetically authentic.

Few groups embody that spirit like De La Soul. From the moment they arrived, the Long Island group changed the game, injecting colour, wit and self-awareness into hip hop with their genre-shaping debut 3 Feet High and Rising. Their free-thinking creativity helped define an entire movement, shifting the culture from the streets to the global stage. Decades on, their music still sounds like the future. The hip-hop icons are set to make a monumental return with their long-awaited new album Cabin in the Sky, dropping November 21, 2025. Their first full release since 2016, the record features heavyweight collaborators Nas, Common, Black Thought, DJ Premier, and Pete Rock, blending reflection, resilience, and that signature De La warmth. A powerful celebration of legacy and evolution, Cabin in the Sky marks a defining new chapter for one of hip-hop’s most influential groups – and for the first time ever, they’ll be bringing this landmark album to Australian audiences live.

Joining them is Oddisee & Good Compny, the DMV rapper, producer and polymath known for blending jazz, funk, go-go and hip hop. Self-produced and fiercely independent, Oddisee’s catalogue (The Good Fight, The Iceberg, ODD CURE) has earned critical acclaim for its thoughtful lyricism and infectious live energy — with his band delivering performances that blur the line between rap show and transcendental groove.

Completing the lineup for the night is Miss Kaninna, one of Australia’s most powerful voices in hip hop. A proud Yorta Yorta, Dja Dja Wurrung, Kalkadoon and Yirendali woman, she fuses hip hop, neo-soul and R&B into anthems of empowerment and resistance. With breakout singles Blak Britney and Pinnacle Bitch and a debut EP that swept the 2025 AIR Awards, Miss Kaninna is unfiltered, unstoppable and a cultural force. Presented by Astral People, Droppin’ Science is an all-out salute to hip hop — in full colour.

Also newly announced today, Peach PRC will bring her effervescent energy and anthemic hits to Palace Foreshore on Thursday 12 March 2026. Known for her captivating stage presence, confessional lyricism and wildly devoted fanbase, Peach PRC’s upcoming show promises a candy-coloured spectacle of pop empowerment. With over 230 million streams, 27 million video views, and 2 billion social impressions, Peach PRC’s rise has been nothing short of meteoric. Her debut EP Manic Dream Pixie hit #1 on the ARIA Album Chart, delivering breakout anthems ‘F U Goodbye’ and ‘Perfect For You’, both landing in triple j’s Hottest 100 and earning her a Rolling Stone Award for Song of the Year. Lauded by Billboard, Vogue, NME, and Rolling Stone for her nostalgic yet distinctive pop sound, Peach has cemented her place as one of pop’s boldest new voices, redefining what Australian pop can be on the world stage.

These new events join a line-up already stacked with global heavyweights and acclaimed innovators. On Thursday 26 February, critically acclaimed British collective Black Country, New Road will open the season with their bold new sound. Touring their latest record Forever Howlong, released earlier this year via Ninja Tune, the group has been hailed for its harmonious reinvention and communal songwriting spirit. Described by The Guardian as taking “a gentler, more bucolic direction,” their live performances have become cult moments — immersive, theatrical and joyously unpredictable.

The Streets, led by mercurial frontman Mike Skinner, will take to the Palace Foreshore stage on Thursday 5 March, performing the landmark album A Grand Don’t Come For Free in its entirety for the very first time. The 2004 UK #1 record remains one of the most influential albums of its era, delivering hits like “Dry Your Eyes,” “Fit But You Know It,” and “Blinded By The Lights.” Known for his poetic honesty and quintessentially British wit, Skinner’s live shows are part rave, part confessional, and pure catharsis, promising a cinematic journey through love, loss, chaos and hope.

Then on Friday 6 March, the one and only Pendulum return home to Australia, bringing their explosive live show to St Kilda for what promises to be one of the most unmissable performances of the summer. The global drum’n’bass titans arrive on the back of their first full-length studio album in 15 years, Inertia: a 16-track emotional maelstrom that cements their place as a genre unto themselves. Frontman Rob Swire describes it as the sound of Pendulum finding themselves again, and their homecoming show will deliver exactly that — a full-force reminder of why they remain one of the most electrifying live acts of the century.

Beyond the music, Palace Foreshore offers one of Melbourne’s most unique live entertainment experiences. Nestled between the Palais Theatre and St Kilda Sea Baths, the open-air precinct pairs world-class performances with panoramic bay views, golden sunsets and cool coastal breezes. Across the season, fans can enjoy a curated selection of Melbourne’s best food trucks, pop-up bars, local vendors and hospitality partners.

Across four huge weeks, Palace Foreshore will once again deliver on its promise of sun, sound and sea, bringing together global names, local heroes and an audience united by the love of live music. With more major announcements still to come, the 2026 program reaffirms Palace Foreshore’s place at the heart of Melbourne’s summer music calendar.
