We grew up on the Far North Coast of NSW but have spent the last four years living in Berlin. Every year we return to the country for a while and always feel truly blessed to call this place home, it’s honestly the most beautiful place in the world. Coming back after being abroad we are always particularly blown away by the wildlife here and by the warm spirits of the Australians we encounter.
This year has definitely felt a little bit different though. From flying in through the smoke that now covers Sydney to experiencing this heaviness that is weighing on everybody we know. It’s devastating to see the fires tearing up this beautiful country, to see the homes of loved ones destroyed or under threat, and to hear about the plight of victims.
Our first thoughts are with the people and wildlife directly affected, but It’s also deeply troubling to see the impacts of climate change magnifying the conditions of this crisis, and to witness the failure of our political leaders to take meaningful action against the man made climate crisis which will undoubtedly increase the severity and frequency of these events in the future.
We want to contribute to the movement of relief and donations for these bushfires. So we’re playing a show at the Brewery with the incredible Russian choir (headed by Louie’s own kin) Dustyesky. We want to raise as much money as we can for the cause and we want to help contribute to a growing conversation around climate action. We also want to celebrate the incredible giving spirit of Byron Bay, to celebrate the humanity that guides this place. Despite heavy hearts, we want to have a positive and uplifting evening with our glorious community!

We have endless respect and gratitude for the RFS and for all the organisations working to aid the community. For all the fireys out there putting their lives on the line, for the responses surrounding them and for the victims of the fires. Over the last week we have seen millions of dollars donated to the RFS, it’s amazing. Thus we thought our contribution could carry more impact elsewhere. We have decided to split the proceeds of this event in two. One half will be donated to WIRES, for wildlife conservation efforts. This goes to the aiding rescue and increasing outcomes of the varied wildlife affected. The other half will be donated to the Australian Youth Climate Coalition, a movement fighting for a safe climate and a sustainable future, empowering the voices our Youth and current generations.
We feel that this is a good way to contribute directly to the crisis occurring but also to acknowledge the challenges this country will continue to face in the wake of climate change, as these crises become more and more devastating. Energy into a movement that matters more than anything else.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
