Today, Los Angeles hip-hop duo, Paris Texas returns for the band’s first new music of the year with the aptly titled new single “PANIC!!!” which is now available on all platforms. The frenzied track arrives on the cusp of their Coachella debut, following a 2022 that saw them tear up festival stages including Governor’s Ball and Boston Calling, as well as shutting down the room at Kenny Beats’s DOTS show in LA where they shared the stage with artists like Rico Nasty, MAVI, and more. The band signalled that they’d been renewed for a new season of Paris Texas music and visuals earlier this week, appearing out of nowhere with a season 2 preview and trailer for the video hinting at a bigger moment later in the week.
The manic new single, which is the first offering from the duo’s forthcoming debut album, arrives with an equally-frenetic new video written and conceived by Paris Texas and directed by Bradley J. Calder & Neema Sadeghi that follows the otherworldly duo into a raucous mosh pit. The music video ends with the duo riding slowly through Los Angeles in an 80s sedan while a teaser of an unreleased track plays them out – watch HERE.
After solely releasing “cyanide” as a stand-alone single in 2022, “PANIC!!!” finds Louie Pastel and Felix forcefully shoving their way back to the forefront of music conversations with the promise of their debut album coming this year. The duo’s success with their two early EPs BOY ANONYMOUS and Red Hand Akimbo, and the meticulously-crafted storyline they strung between the two with their visuals, solidified them as one of the most exciting new acts out right now and set the stage for a breakout 2023.
