release their latest single
‘LOST’

Originating from north Perth, Sixth Avenue’s new single ‘Lost’ has arrived, an exhilarating tune that shows a hint of what more is to come from the four-piece.
The band is the construct of a long-term friendship between Joel Bellesini (vocals, guitar), Sam Barrett-Lennard (drums), Kenji McAuliffe (guitar) and Daniel Ylioff (bass). Likened to acts such as ‘Slowly Slowly’ and ‘Sly Withers’, Sixth Avenue are part-indie, part-emo, a mix that has hit a nerve as audiences fall for their frenetic live show.
Returning with their second release of the year, new single ‘Lost’ is a feels-y indie-punk anthem, showcasing a band really exploring their sound and taking a deep dive into their sonic and song writing capability.
“Lost was written at somewhat of a crossroads in my life where I found myself obsessed with ideas of fragility and beauty within imperfection”, lead singer Joel Bellesini says. “The repeated main line sort of stands as the focus of the whole song and encapsulates the song’s intentions pretty well; describing the feeling of being lost in your tracks and vulnerable but human at the same time”.
The song was tracked with recording engineer Jordan Pawlik at Sunsick Studios, of whom the boys worked with for the production of their debut EP ‘So Temperamental’ in 2020. “Jordy’s the best and recording this song was a huge experience for us. This song sort of stands as a turning point in our careers, it feels like we are really finding our feet and better understanding the balance between the dark and light in our song writing”.
The band has launched the release of the new track with a run of shows to large crowds including an all-ages show before a headlining gig at Four5Nine (Rosemount Hotel) to round off the year. The band are gearing up with only more new music to come and plans to hit the road in 2022 so be sure to keep an eye out for these guys!

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
