Perth’s Egyptian gem, R&B singer-songwriter NXLLY (pronounced NELLY), is ready to enchant R&B music enthusiasts once again with her third release for the year, ‘Ride 4 Me’, featuring VUK. Delving deep into the raw emotions of relationships and exploring the intense anger and profound aftermath that follows when trust is shattered, the track is scheduled for release on November 10th.
With her debut EP ‘Fake LuV’ in 2022 exceeding 20,000 first week, and more recently her previous single ‘I KNOW’ amassing over half a million streams on Spotify – undoubtedly NXLLY has solidified her position as a formidable soulful presence in the Australian R&B landscape. Her distinct sound has earned her placements on Spotify editorials such as R&B Connect, Fresh Finds & New Music Friday, consistent airplay on radios such as triple j, CADA, and performances/support slots at venues including Metro City, Perth Motorplex, and The Bird.

Collaborating with VUK, a Perth-based R&B singer of Serbian heritage, his raspy yet comforting voice infuses the track with depth and complexity. The contrast between VUK’s raspy tones and NXLLY’s soothing, soulful vocals creates a harmonious blend that perfectly captures the emotional rollercoaster of the song’s narrative. Their synergy is palpable, with each artist enhancing the strengths of the other to deliver a mesmerising and evocative musical journey.
Speaking on the track, NXLLY shares, “We created this song in the studio, recorded it within a couple of hours, and while crafting the lyrics, we decided to explore both the female and male perspectives of realising you’ve been there for someone who underestimated you. It’s about letting go of someone you wished would ride for you but instead lied to you.”
