“With catchy melodies and vibrant beat structures, Petit Biscuit is a dangerous multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter creating some of the most complex and mesmerizing modern electronic tracks” – EARMILK
“Petit Biscuit’s strength lies in his future, which at this point seems limitless” – YOUR EDM
“Petit Biscuit and Shallou channel some brilliant synergy on this track. The tune has an ethereal sound that both artists have become so affectionately known for. Lightweight, relaxing synth work makes “I Leave Again” an angelic piece of music worth melting away to” – THIS SONG IS SICK

French producer, composer, and songwriter Petit Biscuit today shares his dreamy I Leave Again EP. The EP features ‘I Leave Again’ the original track (with Shallou), ‘I Leave Again’ (Japanese Wallpaper Remix), ‘I Leave Again’ (Acoustic) and an ‘I Leave Again’ Instrumental with a new video also out today – watch here.
The EP is centred around Petit’s ‘I Leave Again’ (with Shallou) with dreamy vocals and production, ‘quipped with a feature from equally forward-thinking LA based artist Shallou alongside an exhilarating lyric video to match.
Another track on the EP is the Japanese Wallpaper remix. Petit shared: “Japanese Wallpaper brought to his remix of “I Leave Again” a solar and personal touch, without distorting the original. For me, it’s an essential version and complements the track perfectly. I’ve been a fan of Japanese Wallpaper for a while and I am delighted that he was able to add his style to the song.”
Following these is an instrumental of the original version, paired with a beautiful video of nature taking over the burned structure of the original ‘I Leave Again’ lyric video – get lost in it by watching here. The emotional acoustic of Petit playing ‘I Leave Again’ is also on the EP.

Earlier this year, Petit Biscuit contributed a cover of Angus and Julia Stone’s Chateau for Songs for Australia alongside The National, Kurt Vile, and Dermot Kennedy and a critically-acclaimed remix of Flume’s single Rushing Back ft. Vera Blu (LISTEN HERE) (nearly 8.2 million streams). In 2018 he recorded an incredible performance of Phoenix’s 1901 as well as his original track Problems featuring rising star BENEE on triple j’s essential Like A Version series.
On I Leave Again Petit Biscuit explains: “We first met when Shallou supported me on my first American tour and what I saw on stage was absolutely crazy. Joe is a passionate guy and a nice human being and we became friends. I came to the US in April 2019 for a change of scenery to get some inspiration for my new music and I invited Joe to come to where I was staying to work on some music together. We spent hours listening to a lot of different stuff and tried lots of different things, but it wasn’t until a few months later that we had finally found the perfect tune to collaborate on. “I Leave Again” is about the end of a relationship with all of its nostalgia, but we’ve tried to turn it into “the song to a new start,” with all of the excitement that it can bring.”
As for Shallou, he remarks: “In some ways, this pandemic has made musicians from all over the world more likely to connect. I have traditionally made music on my own, then sharing the demos with artists over the internet to collaborate with. These past years I’ve made an effort to connect more in person in the studio. Now that it can’t happen, I feel like a lot of bedroom producers are reaching out again the old way. Petit and I connected on this one online and it was really fun to work on something that feels like a true combination of our sounds.”
A multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer, Petit Biscuit has converted his classically trained talents into critical acclaim over the course of his career. With a debut album, Presence (triple j feature album), that charted worldwide in 2017, he’s also wowed audiences on the live circuit with performances at the likes of Coachella, Lollapalooza, and HARD, plus his own sold out headline tour dates around the world including Australia. His most recent studio single, We Were Young featuring JP Cooper, topped 40 million collective streams with a music video featuring gorgeous cinematic shots that track nostalgic dreams of longing and love.
Other highlights of Petit Biscuit’s career include over 900 million Spotify streams, being awarded best live performer at the NRJ DJ Awards 2018, a primetime national TV performance on the esteemed French music award ceremony Les Victoires de la Musique 2018 and international radio support from KCRW to SiriusXM Chill to Triple J.
