Currently in the country supporting Tom Grennan on his Australian tour, one of Ireland’s biggest live acts Picture This have announced a return tour in 2026, headlining shows across Australia.

Picture This will kick off the 2026 tour in Brisbane at The Triffid on Wednesday 20 May, before heading down to Sydney at Metro Theatre on Friday 22 May, 170 Russell in Melbourne on Saturday 23 May, before wrapping things up in Perth at Astor Theatre on Tuesday 26 May.

In Ireland, Picture This are superstars; their debut single ‘Take My Hand’ is a veritable anthem, the only band ever to sell out 5 successive 3Arenas (Dublin’s equivalent to London’s O2), and the 4 huge arena shows in Belfast and Dubin in December 2025 sold out in less than one hour with 50k tickets sold.

It all began in 2015, a young Ryan Hennessy from the small town of Athy, County Kildare, Ireland, recorded a video of his song ‘Take My Hand’ on his iPhone. The video was uploaded to Facebook and YouTube and amassed over 4 million views across all platforms. Receiving a message from a drummer, also from Athy, Jimmy Rainsford; saying they had to play together, it sparked a journey that led to the band’s debut gig at the Grand Social venue in Dublin, which they sold out in under 30 minutes. To meet the demand, the gig was moved to The Academy, which has a capacity of 850 people. The band became the first act to sell out the venue for their debut gig.

Over the past 5 years, Picture This have made their mark as one of Ireland’s biggest live acts, consistently playing to massive crowds. In the summers, they’ve headlined major shows, attracting over 15,000 people in Cork and more than 20,000 in cities like Dublin and Belfast. They’ve sold out Belfast’s SSE Arena (10,000 capacity) and Dublin’s 3 Arena (12,000 capacity) twice in a row multiple times.

Despite playing in the major cities, the band has always appreciated their fans who travel from all over the country. To show their gratitude and repay their fans’ loyalty, Picture This embarked on a tour unlike any before. In 2025, Picture This were “Home For Summer”, with sell out shows across all 9 Irish dates.

After an unforgettable summer that saw Picture This sell over 45,000 tickets on their Home For Summer tour, the band has done it again. In just under an hour of general sale, they sold out four massive nights at Belfast’s SSE arena, Dublin’s 3Arena, shifting another 50,000 tickets. With Home For Christmas completely sold out, fans can look forward to the ultimate celebration of what has been one of Picture This’ biggest years in Ireland yet.

A decade on from that first viral video, Picture This continue to prove they are Ireland’s most unstoppable live band and they are ready to bring that energy back to Australia in 2026!
