A spectacular catalyst for catapulting Pierce Brothers onto the world stage, 2014’s The Night Tree saw twin brothers Jack and Patrick Pierce quickly evolve from busking on the iconic streets of Melbourne into international sensations. Marking the pair’s third EP, following 2011’s self-titled and 2013’s Blind Boys Run EPs, The Night Tree bustles with warmth and charisma across the space of eight tracks, with sparkling indie folk and blues colliding with heartfelt lyricism and goosebump-inducing harmonies, alongside plenty of infectious melodics set to stun. From the wistful swoon of Genevieve through to the glistening and percolating twang of Golden Times, the stomping delights of White Whale and beyond, The Night Tree is an enduring part of the ever-burgeoning Pierce Brothers legacy, with the EP also garnering the duo a #7 spot on the Alt iTunes chart, and #33 on the overall iTunes chart upon release.
“Re-recording live versions of this EP, and finally getting a new studio version of Flying Home out into the world was so much fun!” says Jack, “We came back to these songs so quickly, after not playing some of them in a decade, and we realised how much fun they were to play! This tour is going to be all time!”

Now with a decade passing since The Night Tree first made its way into the world, the ongoing success story for Pierce Brothers has seen them gone on to headline sold out venues around the globe, generate over 40 million global streams, enamour festival crowds and support the likes of Tones and I, Tash Sultana, James Blunt, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, The Cat Empire, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, and many more. Along the way, the duo’s musical output has consistently grown along with their stellar reputation, from their top 15 ARIA debut album, 2018’s Atlas Shoulders, to releasing two top 10 ARIA EPs, Into The Dirt (2015) and The Records Were Ours (2017), a sophomore album Into The Great Unknown in 2020 and, as of 2024, a whole new era courtesy of their 2024 full length album Everything Is Bigger Than Me, which garnered both chart success as well as rave critical reviews.
Kicking off 2024 with their biggest European run to date, with the majority of shows selling out, Pierce Brothers also completed a massive Australian headline run with multiple sold out shows in conjunction with the release of Everything Is Bigger Than Me, and performed as part of 2024’s Byron Bay Bluesfest alongside the esteemed likes of Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Jimmy Barnes, Ian Moss, Dan Sultan, Rickie Lee Jones and many more. And most recently, the duo supported James Blunt nationally, touring sold out arenas across the country, alongside releasing a sublime new standalone track Run Around The Lake, also launched via their own record label, Woolstore Music. And while this year was stacked full of wins for Jack and Patrick, 2025 is already gearing up to be sensational, with the excitement to celebrate The Night Tree only equalled by the chance for fans to finally own this EP on vinyl for the first time ever.
“This was an EP that really put us on the map, both in Europe and Australia,” shares Jack. “We never released it on vinyl, so it’ll be great to finally have it the way we always wanted it! We recorded a live B-Side to the vinyl as well live at our home studio and will be releasing the live tapes from it as well! And we re-recorded an old crowd favourite Flying Home and added it as a bonus track! This is because we always felt like we never really nailed it in those old recordings so wanted to get a nicer version out there.”
“This will be really fun tour throughout the summer, before taking a good deal of time off!” Jack concludes. “We’ve been going hard for a while now, so I think it’s almost time!”
The Night Tree 10 Year Anniversary EP will be available exclusively at shows.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
