Melbourne’s revered award-winning producer Plutonic Lab and Toronto rap group BBRC have joined forces to produce a rap album three years in the making. The ‘SHWING’ album will be released via Golden Era Records on Friday October 29.
Their first 2021 single is the banger ‘My Bass’ (Freak Bass Sound) which is out now. The release also comes as a one, two punch with the stomper Prequel remix from the late DJ Devastate from Sweden. ‘My Bass’ is the follow up to previous singles ‘SHWING (Lock It Down)’ and ’Anybody’.

During the pandemic Plutonic Lab has been producing an array of Australian and international projects as well as releasing his critically acclaimed EP ‘The New Ruins‘, which feat
Toronto underground weirdos BBRC have been busy with their own solo endeavors. Rapper Roshin released his debut solo ‘Unrequited’, following up with the posthumous Sean Price featured ‘Same Damn ‘Lo Sweater’. He also dove into new musical genres, recently collaborating with Melbourne dance favourite Will K on ‘Tarantino’. The group’s founder and producer Bronze has been releasing music with rapper Rob GF & Gabagool Gang, who both feature on ‘SHWING’. He has also been writing and producing music for the forthcoming Original Netflix animated series Inside Job and will release his own EP accompanying the series premiere this Autumn.
The ‘SHWING’ album will be released
via Golden Era Records on Friday October 29.
