Praise for POLISH CLUB
“Polish Club have spent their time breaking new ground and subverting expectations with their blistering sound. Now We’re Cookin’ continues that thread, with their soulful, blues-rock sounding mixing with almost Nineties-like pop sensibilities at times, showcasing a truly understated versatility.” – ROLLING STONE | 4 STARS
“…impossibly infectious.” – TONE DEAF
“David Novak’s voice shifts seamlessly from a whisper to a gravel-coated roar: he is the consummate crooner with style and presence.” – BACKSEAT MAFIA

Now We’re Cookin’, Polish Club’s third studio album released today, is the result of Sydney’s favourite definitely-still-a-rock-band rock band, pumping out songs like a well-oiled machine with perhaps a tad too much gusto during last year’s lockdown. Filtered down to 10 perfectly crystalised tracks, the new album landed triple j’s Feature Album this week and arrives with the official video for new single Baby We’re Burning.
Choosing once again to work with Sydney film director Tim Nathan, the creative behind recent videos for singles, Just Talking and Stop For A Minute, the current ‘you know what’ couldn’t stop the duo serving up yet another Polish Club trademarked video for the synth-flanked neo-pop number.
“Because of the current thing going on (you know the one), we couldn’t be involved as much with this video. So we decided it was the perfect time to let Tim Nathan spread his winds and complete his epic Polish Club Cinematic Universe trilogy, truly showcasing his chameleon-like creative range. A singular vision of a man who simply must DANCE.”

The Baby We’re Burning official video was shot at Ballina Tenpin Bowls and follows the story of the burly manager who takes a load off after his shift, losing himself for a minute in complete dance. The manager is played by contemporary dancer and physical performer, Thomas Grundy Greenfield.
Tim says, “This was the third clip in a Polish Club trilogy that I’ve directed! We’ve vaguely linked them all together in this strange way… You’d have to watch them all to discern something from that though. I had worked with Thomas on another project before and loved his style of dancing and him as a person. He’s super eccentric and just does things his own way… so when he rolled onto set for the shoot I kinda knew he’d have some nice moves cooked up already. We actually didn’t do any choro and just planned it all once we got to set on the night.”
Novak and JH will also be taking their full band on the road through October to December, serving up choice cuts on their Now We’re Tourin’ national tour. And the crowd won’t be short of Clubs to join at these shows, with Press Club completing this delicious 2 for 1 PC deal.
Tune into Instagram Live this evening with Polish Club and Burger Head as they recreate the burger inspired by the Now We’re Cookin’ album cover.

AMNPLIFY – DBA
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
