Australia’s favourite EDM act for littlies, Poppy Galactic and The Beat, are encouraging kids to help Mama Earth breathe easy with the live video release of their environmental banger C.O.M.P.O.S.T!
Taken from the band’s recent Little Splendour set as part of Splendour XR, the video features beat heavy rhythms, electronic hooks and a message that kids and their carers can all get around – to help the planet grow!
The video is the first to be released from Poppy Galactic and The Beat’s Splendour XR set with more footage from the virtual performance incoming, so be sure to keep an eye on their YouTube channel and get ready to dance as more videos drop.

Poppy Galactic and The Beat is the brainchild of Tiffany Richmond (ex Sparkadia) and Terepai Richmond (John Butler Trio, The Whitlams, D.I.G). Beyond her musical career, Tiffany is one of the leading voice artists in the country. She has been the official voice of Network Ten, KIIS 1065, Foxtel Movies, The Australian Radio Network and Woolworths in the past, as well as voiced commercials for Aveeno, Freedom Furniture, Purina, Kinder and more – no doubt she has taken over your lounge room once or twice! Tiff was also in Home and Away back in 2007 as the controversial character, Naomi Preston.

The idea for Poppy Galactic and The Beat came as Tiff realised that her children really just love the same music she does – not just ‘kids music’. So, Mum and Dad went about creating some songs they could all enjoy together. “The kids loved dancing to the same songs as us, but the lyrics just weren’t relevant to them. So, we created fun dance tracks that reflected their world.” says Tiff.
”I thought a fun way to see the magic of Earth would be to appreciate it from an outsider’s perspective, so we created our alien characters to provide that galactic perspective or overview effect.”
C.O.M.P.O.S.T is one of eight tracks from Poppy Galactic and The Beat’s debut album, Made Of Stardust, released in July 2021. The album celebrates the magic of planet Earth with its super fun dance music that aims to build confidence, educate about the environment and life, and spark joy!
