How would you describe your journey in the music industry so far, and where do you want to go from here with your music?

We have had an amazing journey so far. We’ve literally gone from playing small pubs in front of my Dad, a bar maid and a man with his dog to Festival main stages all over the world. We just want things to stay as enjoyable and keep moving forward as a band both musically and in size.

When did you know you wanted to make music and perform as your career?

From quite an early age. I always wanted to play music but it wasn’t until I met Becca, Sam and Josh I then started thinking we could actually do something here. We’ve been incredibly lucky to be in the position we’re in as lots of people have this or at least a similar dream. We’re forever grateful.

Who have been your musical influences through life?

It depends on what stage of life you’re referring to. Every member is inspired by completely different music and people, which I guess makes it interesting when we’re writing.

We bounce off each other a lot.

Are there any artist’s or musicians that you have been so impacted by that it changed your view on life or mentality?

Not really, we always just do it our own way. There are exceptions of course. When we toured with Muse that was super inspiring to see where a band can go. I guess we realised if you take as seriously as those guys do who knows how far the band can go.

How would you describe your sound, and why is it unique from other artist’s sound?

Like I said before, we take inspiration from each other and we’re all utter perfectionists. We never disregard an idea for a song even if initially it doesn’t sound like ‘Marmozets’. So you end up with elements of a bunch of different genres. We will always give whatever has been written a chance even if it doesn’t end up making the final cut. We get unique and kind of off the wall ideas by having that mindset.

What can fans expect as far as upcoming tours, or music?

Lots of new material from the new record that we haven’t played live yet. It’s so exciting being able to perform new songs especially if the audience has already got a hold of them.

After dropping your album in Jan, what is on the agenda for 2018, any tours planned?

We’ve got a bunch of tours in the pipeline in the UK and festivals around the world that we can’t wait for. It’s gonna be a busy year!

How can your fans get access to the album as soon as it drops?

Everywhere! Spotify, Apple Music, amazon online and most record stores should have a few copies in!

If you weren’t working in the music industry, what else do you think you would be doing with your life right now?

God knows, it’s all I’ve been doing since I was 14. We’ve all been lucky enough to not have to really think about that. I literally have no idea!

What’s one song fans might be surprised you really like?

I’m a huge fan of the Lemon Twigs and the Beach Boys… most people probably think we’d just all listen to is just heavy music because of our sound but we all love a bunch of kind of off the wall chiller stuff as well.

Do you have one live show that stands out so far as being your favourite, or most memorable, why?

Probably Reading Festival mainstage. That was a big one for us. It was a dream come true. Hope we can do that again one day!

If you could collaborate with one artist that is no longer alive, who would it be? And why?

That’s a super tricky one. Depending on what type of song maybe Jeff Buckley. Why not!

Lastly, just for fun – If you had to eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

There’s this vegan Chinese meal me and Becca get a lot from a local takeaway and it would have to be that. It’s a fried bean curd with tofu, salt and chilli chips and noodles. Can’t complain such a banging meal!
